Mother charged with punching high school basketball coach
ALIQUIPPA, Pa. -- A woman allegedly punched a high school basketball coach in the face because the coach kicked her daughter off the varsity team, police said.
Nancy Good, 35, arrived at the Aliquippa High School gymnasium Monday afternoon during basketball practice, Aliquippa police said. She demanded to talk to coach Amy Linner about the coach's decision to kick Good's daughter off the team, police said.
Linner told Good she would not talk until after practice and that's when Good punched Linner in the nose and above her right eyebrow, police said. Police say Linner received six stitches.
Good was charged with aggravated assault and related charges. She was released from the Beaver County Jail after posting bond. A telephone number for Good was not listed.
