New ACER Notebook- no live video

My 5 & 1/2yr.old ACER finally went to a darkscreen, so i
went to Staples/BJs/WalMart for comparison shopping.
Found this at WalMart for $279!?!
Plays TwinSpires TV just fine, but when i use Classic T.S.
or TVG Streaming Video, it says i have no Player.
But icon on bottom of screen begs to differ...
never had an issue before.. is that why this was so cheap?
Any ideas, or must i stick to T.S.TV?

When it says you have no player - PAY ATTENTION.

When you find out what player they want, Google that and download the latest player. Player.
