Passed away at the age of 91. While I didn't agree with many of his liberal comments, his short segments at the end of 60 minutes could be quite amusing.
Rest in peace, Andy.

Didja ever wonder why they're bandying the terms 'legend' and 'iconic' in describing Mr. Rooney ? Huh; didja ? Well, I'm stumped.

Is "institution" okay?
He was a regular part of the lives of millions for a long time.
RIP Andy Rooney

RIP Mr. Rooney.

My condolences to your family and friends.

They just said on the radio that he was a devout Giant season ticket holder for decades. He always sat in his seat never asked for special treatment like a luxury suite he wanted to cheer with the rest of the Giant diehards.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Sometimes his segment was the best part of 60 Minutes. RIP.

Andy Rooney could be quite funny at times.
He was on a longtime, had his own segment, so iconic prob does fit.

He also lived in a very small house in Connecticut, right in a regular residential neighborhood. Not a house you'd think anyone in network TV would own.

RIP Mr. Rooney.

A great interesting curmudgeon and independent of his political stripe, I found him to be an enlightening humorist. God bless Andy.

Nothing beats an old Andy Rooney book. Too funny. Ironic that on his last interview with Morely Safer, he was asked if he thought about death and Andy said all of the time, and hated the thought. RIP

God broke the mold when he made that guy. It's doubtful we'll ever see anyone in his infotainment class again.
