Anyone ever see a horse go this far wide and win? The :4: blew the turn heading for home and went all the way to the outside rail.. and still won! :D

Youtube Sir Ray. Don't have access here at work to youtube, but that was one of the craziest races I've ever seen .

I guess you might say he was a: "rail to rail winner"...

Wow. What an effort. Wonder what Trackus would say about that one.

Sir Ray's race as well as Broad Brush's were popular and very entertaining to say the least.
But in watching Sir Ray again I have to share a little story about him.
He ended up as one of Gil's many claimers and somehow was sold for a dollar , so he was obviously headed for doom.
Thank heavens for Aikendale rescue in NY who got wind of his situation and took him in.
He did succumb to colic in 2010 at only age ten but I was happy to hear he was in a good place . he raced 77 times won 22 and earned well over $400,000 . Glad to see we can still enjoy his talents.

Wow - incredible run. I remember the Broad Brush race. Around the same day (maybe it was a few days apart) was a race at Hawthorne where Momentus led into the stretch. Not sure if there is video of it somewhere...but kinda the opposite of Broad Brush. The call was great in the Momentus race (and jockey and horse were fine btw)
