I like your picks. A mix of obvious talent, and some value thrown in that seems likely. Only changes I see would be San Pail over Lucky Jim, and either Chapter Seven or Manofmanymissions over Dejambro. But one of the reasons I seldom bet is that I am not a profitable gambler with my money, so what do I know?

Looks like live coverage on DISH Saturday.....

For only the second time in history, all 12 Breeders Crown championship finals, offering $6.2 million in purses, will be staged at Woodbine Racetrack (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Woodbine+Racetrack) near Toronto (http://www.nydailynews.com/topics/Toronto) on Saturday evening.

A dozen races, for all age, gait and gender divisions, will be held with a 6:30 post time. The races will be televised live on MAVTV on major cable systems and Ch. 361 on the DISH network. Live coverage starts at 7:30 and concludes at 11:15.

Actually, it's a good night to watch rather than wager. 1st Race 6:30.

Is MAVtv HD only? Guess I'll have to break down, get HD and join the 21st Century after all :)

Maybe TVG is showing all races so I don't have to squint at my laptop. ;)

Hanover1,
You're probably right on that 9th race trot, just thinking there's a slight chance of Sears drafting TT and Chap7 when they go after MoMM and Broad Bahn, who must battle hard. Should be fun to watch.

If I do bet any of those I think the 3yo colt pace might be the one.
With so much talent (man and beast), the post bias on the 5 and 6 comes into play (it's showing up already this meet 15.4%-19.2%) and I'm tempted to go with Scott Zeron and ALSACE HANOVER as my value play. That's a gutsy effort for place last week, 53-3 last half, never on wood. I'll be using him in the exotics somehow.

Good Luck All

My free picks for the Breeders Crown are at

http://www.ustrotting.com/trackside/breeders_crown/

Great card and the trot is potentially a great race with two top European trotters coming in to test San Pail. I think San Pail can win but if he's the favorite he will be an underlay in my opinion. This is a tougher field than he's been beating because of the two Euros. As you may know, generally speaking Europe has better trotters than we do, and these shippers have done extremely well over the years. The last trotter to ship in to the Breeders Crown was Varenne and he won easily and set a world record. Some of you may remember that the last time a trotter shipped in from Europe to run in the Hambletonian, Scarlet Knight in 2001, he won easily, and of course European trotters were amazing in the International Trot at Roosevelt and Yonkers.

I made San Pail and Rapid Lebel co favorites in the race.

MOMM won't be leaving out of there, and Broad Bahn should. Chapter Seven will move early imo as well. I look for Dejambro to trot to the wire with MOMM if MOMM decides to stay flat. The quick turn back from a 3 heat dash with that foot issue and Chapter Seven appearing to be coming around makes for a toss-up. Look for anything Pierce steers to be tough...he is having an incredible year, as is D Miller. If you find yourself at odds in gimmicks, be sure to include those 2 drivers......in any race

I haven't come up with any thing other that what Pandy and Ray and the morning-line guy has come up with....

I was hoping that my numers would reveal some secret play for tonite's Breeder's Crown nite....Not to be, for me, tho.
================================================== =======

In the 4th race: the 2yo Filly Pace, I really like SWEET LOU as she has really come on as of late....This girl, imo, is the real deal....Her 2d last race at Lexington was a nice win, as she was able to run a 25:2 last 1/4, and still got the HD-WIN...In her last race she wowed me with her 53:1 last half and her 1:21:1 last 3/4's which was preceded by a 54:1 middle half......And, this she got by gaining 8-lengths from the 1/2 to the 3/4's and yet still exploded late in her elim, winning easily after her giving a very healthy late burst of speed at the end......Value ?...Probably not, but I just love this horse, is all (and the main reason that I wrote about her)...I believe that she will be a force to be reckoned with from now on...Ron Burke & Dave Palone are a winning team....I believe she will take a lot of beating to lose this...And, if she stays healthy, she will be the one to beat next year, imo....She is the handiest type of race horse girl...

==================================================
8th Race: the 3yo Filly Pace....DROP THE BALL has certainly become the Queen of the Mountain....An ez pick for all, so no value for her tonite....So, I am going to make a one-way COLD EXACTA with one other horse in this race....SWINGING BEAUTY is a stand out in the numbers that I use....If it weren't for the fact that, all season long she has proven that she is not the equal of the top-3 contenders in this race, I would've definitely give her a better chance to beat these....But her numbers of her last race surely suggest that if someting goes wrong with DTB's main foes, ROCKLAMATION and KRISPY APPLE, SB does have the numbers to be right there for the underneath part of the EX.... SB had a 25:4 3d 1/4 which was sandwiched between two 27:2 2d & L1/4's, with two back to back 53:1 last 3/4's......ONE WAY 3/7....

================================================== =

I wish I could be more creative tonite, but I like these two races the best....Maybe there wil be some value....If there is, I will be very BETTING these...

Pandy's summary is pretty much how I view things tonite as well, hard to get past his picks, very....

Good Luck to all, and enjoy the BIG-NITE out for the lucky critters...:jump:
