Was shocked to see the Aqu pick 6 hit and paying $24,000, with a $13.60, $22, and $130 horse.

The 6 horse parlay would have been in the neighborhood of $92.000

$92,000 would have been impossible with a pool of $81,000 (now that would have been an overlay!) As it was 5 people hit it, not too unreasonable for a Sunday at AQU.

The tracks have standardized on posting $2.00 payouts, making it easier on computer analysis. In this case I was guessing that these were $1.00 tickets for a $12,000 payout. 5 would be approx 75% of the pool.

In NY the minimum bet on the pack 6 is $2.00.

5 out of 6 gets to split 25% of the pool after takeout.

$82,000 less 20% takeout = $65,600

a fourth of $65, 600 = $16,400 leaving $49,200. $24,600 for two tickets.

In round numbers.
