he actually bet $50 to win $20,000
but he made hedge bets and now wins a little under $10K
I still can't believe the Phillies didn't pack it in against the Braves. I would imagine if they had it to do over again...

A) I love all the sharpies on there telling him he has no shot throughout the entire proceedings. 8.5 too far back, never beat the Phillies, etc.
B) It's great that he won $10k on a $50 bet (I know he put more through lots of other bets, but those were a free role. He knew he'd end up with something). But that type of thing can easily happen at the track. In sports betting, these are a few times a year occurrences at that price point. I bet minimum once a week in horse racing someone somewhere is winning five figures off a two-figure investment.

The guy who bet these futures must be nearly as happy as any Cardinal this morning........I wonder how much the MGM was out on STL?
Nice to see someone hit it big for a nickel......:)
