It is a really good read. I got a lot out of it, because I sometimes play European races as well.

Mark Cramer's Book

I personally got a lot out of the book. First, it is well written. Secondly, I use his ideas on an experiment basis as I play Australia as well UK using some of his ideas he employed successfully.

If you strictly look at this book as one to profit from any one of his seven methods (systems or whatever) then you will miss the the point of the book. Though I am not suggesting that one needs to ignore it .The book is as much about the humanity one shows for our most beloved creature, a race horse as it is to gain from his experiences when handicapping European horses during BC competition etc. .

IMO Mark showed and aptly describes the third element he casually talks about in the book is the relationship between his winnings and paying for his (their) trip across the French landscape and the purpose of such undertaking. I for one strongly believe that the racing gods do have a soft corner for those who care that the horses have a good after life once their career ends in racing. I subscribe to his intuition.

Personally, I enjoyed reading it and strongly recommend for anyone who is interested in knowing a little about European horse racing, people who care about the race horse and racing like Mark and his companions showed in this book.
