this 3YO crop just needs to go away. they tried to gift warp them a grade 1 and he still couldn't get up.

unfortunately the star federation didn't count on a lack of early warpspeed and others with hyperdrive late.

the horse ran pretty well, and pretty much ran to his ability. His best race remains his belmont effort, but Animal Kingdom would have very likely bested that effort with a fair trip.
He's a grade and a half below the elite in the crop, but he's a nice versatile runner and on his day he partake in vertical exotics. Hope you didn't shell out too many duckets at evens.

The jockeys, for whatever reason, turned the race from 9f to a 2f sprint with that dawdling pace. That is never going to suit a grinder like Brilliant Speed.

Yea, that pace was ridiculous, but the winner was somewhat of a non entity in Europe. I put a paper bag over my head after that race (I always keep one handy for Jets games). :lol:

True, but plenty of non-entities in Europe have become stars here.

I'm not saying he didn't fit well in that race. It's just that he did fit well in that race. :lol:

Still a great show. I was lukewarm to Migliore at first, but he is really sharp.
