I'm trying to find out what the standard is and where the point of calls are for QH races.

I've found this equibase fractional times table (http://www.equibase.com/newfan/fractional_times.cfm) for TB races that start at 1F but need to know what Str 1 and Str mean and when each is generally used.

Hi, my understanding is there are no published interval times in QH racing. It should be noted unlike thoroughbreds there is no run up distance before the clock starts. The clock starts on quarter hores once the gate opens. Stats work better in capping quarter horses. Check out Charles Carroll and Steve Sharp books, they are very helpful.

Los Alamitos routinely posts the final 1/8th time on the tote, but you'll never find it in pp's that I know of.
