Welcome to the honest state of Illinois!

Obama is doing his state proud. At this point in time, I'm thinking that Lincoln was the only good thing to have ever come out of that dark abyss (besides my my wife, that is.)

Why doesn't the hot air story mention the fact that this law was passed in 1991. The Tribune does.

The question is do these union officers continue to pay into the city pension fund based on their current salaries? If they do, then I see nothing wrong in them getting pensions based on those payments.

The tribune story says:
"Since the 1950s, city workers who take leaves of absence to work full time for unions have been able to remain in city pension funds if they choose. The time they spend at their union jobs counts toward their city pensions."

To me this indicates that they were indeed paying into the system. If they were paying in based on a salary of $300,000 why should they not get benefits based on $300,000.

Certainly can't blame those (more than likely) 'fat arses' for scoopin' up the dough. Who paid attention back then? We all assumed we were playing a fair game. Next thing ya know I turn on the telly and see fireman and the like whining about overly generous pensions being looked at.

Now we come to learn these civil servant/G-folk have been cuttin' sweetheart deals for decades. While mosty and his "Boy King" (as referred to by R. Maddow) yap about "fair share." :bang:

Funny shit, all of it. Particularly when I saw firefighters in Toledo whining about cuts and talkin' 'bout saving lives and everything.

Don't we CARE enough for our HERO'S? :(

Ed Schultz get in here to hep me out....
