The Meadows will make up those 4 lost days from the rains of tropical storm Lee by racing on Saturdays in October and the first week in November. The first Saturday will be dark. The 2nd Saturday was already scheduled for the PA Fairs but the next four Saturdays will be added to the schedule.
A friend went to the Meadows on Wednesday and emailed me the following:
talked to missy on wed. she said they brought in a guy to condition the track last saturday before all the cancels. guess he didn't do a good job!!!
Missy is the Meadows outrider. All these years the track has been maintained the same way and had never cancelled due to rain, snow and ice yes, but never rain. Whatever manager that brought in the outsider sure screwed things up that whole week. Only question I have is who is the guy related to in the Meadows management (oxymoron) staff?
