I had some wagers in while I worked....... conditional types and regular bets. about 20. Not a damn one hit. First time that has happened that I can remember.

I came home and only made it worse....... crappy crappy day.......... seemed like some weird cards.

I played Belmont, Arlington and Woodbine. Toss in a few from Turfway and I got killed today.

I handicapped one race today and it hit.
But I was watching football and never put the bet in.

What is this, Loser Day? :D

8th at Evd tonight - looking for a big one to make up.

God it was loser day for me too - not a single Win bet hit and barely cashed a Place saver bet today either. And forget exactas...

Guess it wasn't just me!

The $94 horse at Mth made my day, had a couple of $20 dollar horses at Woodbine, but those mainly offset my losing races on the day.

I'm on a bad streak myself. Two days in a row I have 3 of 4 in a pick 4, with the race I lose, I get beat at the wire. Mike Smith does it to me Saturday at LAD in the final leg. He picks up the mount from Ramon Dominguez who had to catch a plane..the reason I did not use :bang: That's 2 grand.

Friday I hit 3 of 4 again at PID. Dutrow's horse,
Jimmy Simms leads every step at 15-1 in the PID Mile but loses in the last 50 yards. I thought the "super" trainer could make him last a little longer. Not much money in that pick 4 pool, but it should have paid a grand if he holds on.

Oh well, at least I don't bet football.....the Saints at the 1 yard line with no time remaining...a TD beats the spread...give the ball to a rookie????

I'm sitting in a pool of blood. Got so bad I started playing out of spite. Lost even more. When I felt my head was about to explode, I quit.

Unenviable day. What's tomorrow, Sunday?

Risk two on First Captain in Canterbury's 8th and call me in the morning. Doc Toe has called in a specialist, Mr. Scott Ehlers (Mr. Jim Carrey will play the lead in the biopic). Mr. Ehlers concurs.

What, and turn my back on Mack's Monarch? Not bloody likely. I kid.

Will do, Muldue. Although chalk looks...well, chalky. And a T/J record coughin' up a "hairball like" 11% doesn't make my socks roll up & down.

But...you have your ways.. Now get outta here, ya big lug.

T M Fred Texas A, his jockey, and the people who bet on him got whacked in Delaware Park's 12th race. The horse was 3/5, and nearly 91% of the place pool was bet on him. (No show wagering on this race.)

The race was for Arabian horses at 1 1/4 miles. At a mile and a quarter at Delaware the starting gate is positioned in a very short chute at the top of the home stretch. The horses take several strides in the chute and then cross onto the main track.

Fred drew the inside. The horse to his immediate right is named Ovour The Top A. The gates opened, the horses took a few strides, and Ovour decided he'd rather run around the track clockwise. Just as they started to cross onto the main track Ovour made a hard left turn. His jockey (Esteban Unsihuay) stayed on for a few strides and then fell off as the horse continued veering left. Fred was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ovour slammed into Fred, then cut him off hard just before he jumped over the temporary rail. This forced Fred into the rail, and his jockey (Santos Chavez) fell off.

After the race the announcer said the jockeys walked off under their own power and seemed to be ok. Fred continued on without his jockey and led for part of the race before going wide down the backstretch. Ovour The Top seemed ok too. I don't think the people who put their money on Fred were ok. The horses that finished first and second paid $51.00 and $31.60, respectively, to place.

$28.00 to win/the place horse paid $31.80 in the middle and the exacta comes back under $85.00? The tri and super seem low as well.

Sounds like a harness racing payout.

How can you think of Canterbury tail at a time like this ? (:Wagging finger.)

As soon as they crossed thewire, I jumped up, clicked me heels, and burst into song ---- first, two verses of

'Campbeltown Loch, I Wish Ye Were Whisky'; then

'Hey 98.6 --- It's Good to See You Back Again' ...

That little girl can horseback. When asked to recapitulate her voyage, Lori was heard to utter, "M'horse run good."

That guy is a Mediterranean version of The Big Guy Himself. Yours truly has the same fashion sense ( ), along with the quaintest hint of a Frankensteinian brow.

With any early breaks, these gents might be The Pips, or even The Floaters. I always thought the latter got flushed prematurely. :(
