With all six New York "Public Benefit???" regional OTB corporations and the mid-Atlantic Alliance racetracks refusing the Keeneland simulcast because of the fan friendly tax reduction....it's time to let your anger be felt. All these mid-Atlantic racetrack members and the six OTB corporations in NY have web sites. It is time we customers stop getting taken advantage of! Let them know by e-mail or snail mail that there are other places to take your business.

In New York State, Keeneland will be available at Buffalo Raceway, Finger Lakes, Vernon Downs, Saratoga Harness, Monticello Raceway and Yonkers Raceway and of course by an out of state account provider if you have one that handles Keeneland.

Good idea, exccpet:

1. I am quite sure they could care less what we think.
2. I am not sure any of then can read anyway.
3. If we stop betting their tracks, then they might listen.
4. We won't.

Face it, they got us. At least there is no doubt that they are all pari mutual whores.

Looks like bettors in Mid-Atlantic will get to play Keeneland now. Makes me happy! No word on whether NYRA is going to start allowing their players to bet Keeneland.

Farging Iceholes and Bastages...

If anyone remembers the movie Johnny Dangerously from the 80's you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Paceguy,

I thought it was Farking Iceholes and Bostages. I'll have to review the tape! That movie must have driven the censors crazy.

I'll stick with betting the mid-Atlantic tracks.

I have no interest in playing tracks where the President of the HPBA milkshakes his horses, no matter what the takeout.

JimH,

I'm continuing on w/ betting the Mid Atlantic tracks also. They got a bad rap on the KEE/ simo agreement I thought.

Besides, I can't find a single racing jurisdiction that hasn't had SOME underhanded "stuff" go on in the past couple of years.

Do you think maybe Keeneland's cutting of the takeout is helping its total handle? Here are the last three days. And in 2000 they had the 250 outlets of New York State OTB.

Thurs.2001 $4,615,864
Thurs.2000 $4,145,314
**********************
Fri.2001 $4,921,923
Fri.2000 $4,254,280
**********************
Sat.2001 $6,659,187
Fri.2000 $5,366,051
