Well folks, the Derby is around the corner and this weekend is one of the last opportunities to make enough money to get into the field, if it's over nominated. Last year there was a rumour that Godolphin paid off a couple of owners to keep their horses out of the race so that they could race theirs!
Hopefully I won't list too many horses that have opted out of the race or are injured. The totals are reasonably close an (*) indicates a guesstimate due to foreign earnings.
1. Express Tour 1,200,000* This is a tricky one in that all the PP's I've seen, don't list the UAE Derby as a Group I, II or III race. It's as if it were a "state bred" race. If its officially not a Graded race, E.T. drops out with ZERO Grd $$$.
2. Point Given 1,180,900
3. Street Cry 618,400 same deal as E.T., subtract $400k
if no G. status for the UAE derby.
4. Monarchos 600,000
5. Fifty Stars 542,500
6. Balto Star 360,000
7. AP Valentine 300,000
8. Distilled 300,000
