Labor Dept. Will Enforce Federal Wage Laws on Behalf of Illegal Workers

Posted on September 1, 2011 at 2:56am
In a written statement to CNSNews.com (http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/labor-dept-confirms-it-will-enforce-lega) Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Labor confirmed that it will enforce federal wage laws on behalf of anyone working in the U.S. “regardless of their immigration status.”

According to the report, the department’s written statement corroborated an earlier comment made by Labor Secretary Hilda Solis. Responding to a question by CNS Monday, Solis spoke of “partnership” agreements she had allegedly signed with several Latin American countries — Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador — to protect the rights of “documented and undocumented” migrant workers in the United States.

The main reason why companies hire illegals is exploitation. Because they won't complain You can pay them less while working them more. When employers find it more difficult to get away with they will do it less. Illegal labor will become less attractive.

So, instead of the government enforcing the laws they already have and punishing companies who hire illegals, the government now says in essence "it's ok to hire them" just pay them fairly???
And you look all across our southern border, how the U.S government is fighting states who try to enforce laws controlling the border....
Look at the current executive order recently passed (some have deemed a dream act on its own)....
And this is about the businesses and them finding it less attractive??
Not saying that your assumptions are wrong...just saying this isnt about your assumptions in my opinion!

That was the point I was saying with my descriptions of what is transpiring right before our eyes.....
Sadly, laws mean nothing to these politicians!

If we make it so no company or individal will want to hire them, they will go home. We won't have to deport them or patrol on our borders. Throw the book at people who hire them. Some jail time for HR people that hire them would go long a long way toward solving this mess. Jail time for rich people who hire time as nannies or cleaning ladies too. As long as there is jobs for them, they will keep coming. You can deport them all today and almost of them will be back next week if there is a job waiting for them. We can't put enough agents on our borders or deport them fast enough if there are jobs waiting for them here.
Next question. Will we see a Rick Perry plan for dealing with illegal imigration any time soon? As bad as Obama is on this issue, He is miles ahead of what Bush did. Will Perry revert to doing what Bush did or will step up to the plate? I think we should get a striaght answer not only from him, but the rest of the GOP hopefuls as well.

Umm Robert......most everything you mentined is currently in place...it's called LAWS! Now how do we get our politicians to enforce is the real question.
Just look at what this administration is doing FOR illegals.
That's not too say that previous admins have strongly enforced, but it's quite obvious THIS ADMIN is going after votes!
