Like most people I tend to bitch about the bad racing luck that occurs and forget about the good. With that in mind, I thought I'd share a story of unbelievable (at least I didn't believe it when I first looked) good fortune that occurred yesterday.
My partner and I were at the OTB, playing 4 different tracks including Louisiana Downs. We'd been having a mediocre day, almost dead even going into the last pick 4 there. We hit the pick 4 with horses that paid the following: $4.00, $5.80, $18.40 and $20.80. When the prices first went up, I thought it read $440 and change which I considered a good price for our fifty cent pick 4, considering the prices. When I looked again it turned out to be $4,469.45. Somehow, despite the two low prices, we took the whole pool.
Just thought I'd get that story told before I start complaining about my bad luck in the next race.
