Easily the hardest card to handicap I have looked at in my 30 years of playing the game. Full competitive fields and only 3 MSWs. Should be some good payoffs but I usually get tapped out early on cards like this.

Good luck to all on what should be some outstanding racing.

Nice start for the NP users, that 50-1 shot was a NP price only late horse (kicking myself for not playing the exotics, doh!)

I was wondering how the 9 won, I thought the entry looked particularly strong and was glad to see the 3 bet as fav to keep their odds up..

This race has some future Triple Crown trail horses in it.
I like #8 to win the 2012 Ky Derby!

Thiks was the late screen in HSH, the entry was ok, but overbet IMO

looked like it may have been the :5: PENN'S GRANT, who got 3rd. Tagg doesn't pop 1sterz and the trip really created a bit of an optical illusion, but regardless am interested in this Empire Maker x pulpitMare 2yo colt.

The Bernardini-8 was one of those great looking horses on paper, but he didn't look strong physically

I take a stab at an unraced 2yo every summer at Sar and declare him the Derby winner...nothing serious, other than Zito debuts his good babies late in the meet so i thought this one was live.
And he was, but got completely cooked by a bad ass looking winner and chucked it. I will watch for next time.

What had been a good Saratoga meet for me up until today took a pretty big hit. I should have known it was gonna be a long day when the first race came 9-1-1. :bang:
