GEM85, any questions concerning Multi-Strats, I would be happy to try and answer them. Been using the program from its earliest version right up through Titan.

If you are a newcomer to Multi-Strats, let me say "Welcome to the world of The Big Dog". Or, as we Multi-Strats fanatics like to say: "The Rocket Rules!"

Expert systems aren't for every handicapper, but if you have the time, the patience, and the inclination, you can do very well with the excellent models which Multi-Strats, Titan Series generates.

Jaguar:
Thanks, it was my first program ever...started with a commodore 64 and written in basic, to the titan series on my XT and the color dots on the diskettes.

I just got tired of entering the info manually, and lost the program and manual through the years.

The specific area I am looking for are the strategies, as I recall there were 15 originally and then 25 on the Titan Series.

I had a strategy that if I remember correctly was getting 91% winners at Southern California tracks. Too bad the person selling the program was less then honest...It truly was and is a remarkable program.

Thanks again.

Gem85, we were looking forward to Dr. Sengbush's comprehensive update when he died. At the time, Curtis Martin, who sold the program- was soliciting money for the update.

He burned so many people for the upgrade money that Cindy Dulay took the website down and the State's Attorney in Ohio began investigating him. No charges were filed against him- though we will never know why. Too bad. I hate a thief.

For 2 years the internet was howling with the angry cries of Exco's former customers. Now all is quiet and forgotten.

Meanwhile, Curt is asking so much money for the rights to the program that when you factor in the programming costs the entire matter becomes moot. Alas, we may never see a Windows-based upgrade.

Wow, that brings back memories..

I remember when I used to get my mom to type in those 7,000 line programs in the back of the magazine, only to (2 hours later) see a stupid ball bounce on the screen..

I have a copy of the poster of all the things that Mega Multi Strats would have included. I have two program disk v7.0-1 with blue and yellow disk. Also have one disk of v7.2-3 and one disk V7.4. The program will install but it will not convert the Bris files it keeps looking for the data. I never could get an up-date so the program would use the 2000 files. Did like the program and would like to get a 2000 file so I could use it again.

Wes, Curt told me- when I complained about the occasional failure to read files- that he was aware of the situation and that he would strengthen the file reading utility. He never did. Typically it will occur at PHA or Calder, from time to time.

This is a separate issue- of course- from the fact that(as you probably know, but others may not) that after downloading the BRIS file, you have to go into Windows Explorer and re-name the file, eliminating the "f".

Example: BRIS titles the file "CRC1117f". Before The Rocket sees the file, the file must be re-named to "CRC1117".

The damn internet "f" kills the deal. Just another reason why I don't miss DOS.

Wes:
Would you please email me a copy of the poster...My main goal is the strategies, there were almost five I really liked.

Jaguar:
I heard people just couldn't use MS because the different format on the current Bris files. There are a few good programers in this group...A convertion program should be a walk in the park to do!

Thanks gentlemen

If I can figure out how to copy it. It's a 3X3 ft copy of the poster. No strategies are listed. It shows all the past performance information used by the strategies. Eighty of them listed. THe poster explains the different parts of the program and how it differs from the 7.5 version. The 7.5 version is what I do not have.

Wes:
Thanks...I though the poster was the size of a regular sheet of paper.
A file convertion program will do the trick. If, I recall correctly there are a few software programs which convert other formats into bris format, and the reverse shouldn't be any problems.
MS once it was trained for a specific track, as you know it was very accurate, and a small investment here will pay off quick.
Thanks again,

Gem 85, no conflict over file structure. Any version of MS runs fine on current files.

Methinks a misunderstanding slipped into the dialogue on using MS.
