Anyone think Zack Hall has a shot of upsetting in the Arlington Million tomorrow? I do and 10-1 is pretty fair. Go to my website --trackphantom-- to see why I like him.

The other races look pretty formful, however.

he has every right to win with a good clean trip.

Early appraisal - I question whether he is robust enough to hold a clean trip late, brushing with those other two beasts, and with the nocounts coming back. A bit of jockey tactics may be in order (first or last run). Everything suits him(everything), and the 1 other doubt(starting barrier gate) is solved nicely by an optimum the post position, and an established American pace-setter. I really need to study Gio Cape and review the others again, but like I said it's a paradox

I kinda like him too but I think the 10-1 ML might be a little ambitious.Once you get past Cape Blanco and Gio Ponti he is the horse people are going to land on.Mission Approved as the 3rd choice is crazy IMO.

Zack Hall a 'first off the plane Euro' and that alone makes him worth a look.

Rahystrada is sitting nice at 12-1 ML

I think this race is far more wide open that it looks. Gio Ponti is not the same horse and Cape Blanco didn't look to happy yesterday.

I like the 9 Wigmore Hall.

$.10 Super

Tend to agree a bit. Cape Blanco was absolutely ALL OUT in the win over Gio Ponti and got a perfect trip in the race. Gio Ponti may not be the same runner. Interesting wager....I like it.

ZH is only 12-1 on Betfair right now, for the Euros not supporting a Euro based horse is not a good sign, compare to the action that Cape Blanco (9-5) and Wigmore Hall (9/2) is getting there right now.

That is extremely interesting. Great info...

However, I would rather go down in flames with Zack Hall then bet someone else and kick my own ass for going away from it.

I'm sure the Euros have lost a bet or two :)

AP Million:

As for the pace scenario, Cape..is an early horse (according to the site Patternform.co.uk). I understand that pace (early and late) holds true IMO at this distance. Take it for what it is worth.

The other horse I love in the stakes race is Treasure Beach. He is a fighter. I believe he will be in top three.

at 2/1 ML, you're kind of going out on a limb here.

I like the 8..I think the extra distance hurt him last race in the man o war, and I think he will be better suited here. He should get the lead, and I wouldnt be surprised if he keeps it. I like 1789 exacta box.

Man oh man, if the hype about Wigmore Hall is as big as I think it is he's gonna go off at 2-1.
Two good horseplayer friends of mine like him as well, and his name is prominent on message boards.
We'll see, but I won't pay to find out about him at low odds.

I would give even odds that Gio doesnt even hit the tri here.

I just seen he was 19 for 21 in the money on the turf lifetime...Thats a pretty bold statement lol

I think the Ill festival is not attracting the same quality top to bottom. In all three races, the classiest runners won. I think all three races were top heavy and it showed.

Good racing nonetheless.

1 mile would suit him best imo.

I agree. I'm liking this right now though because they are just masking the price juicy for me when he does cut back to a mile.

he's doing what he does now on class but this horse is a miler IMHO. And i agree a change in jockeys would not kill this horse either.

U are right. I should have said, I would not bet against him (Treasure Beach) and I didn't. Rest is history.

I'm still learning all the nuances to horse racing so I have a question. I was at the Million this year and have been the past three years, and I can't remember the two turf courses playing so differently. The inner turf which was used for turf races before the Secretariat, Beverly D, and the Million was favoring horses that were coming from far off the pace. But the outer turf had winners that were closer to the lead. Is this normal? I feel that Treasure Beach was the best but I felt that the other races were pretty wide open.

Treasure Beach was MUCH the best going into the race. He not only was the Irish Derby winner, but in watching the Epsom Derby, no doubt in my mind he was the best horse there. He clearly didn't see the horse who nailed him in the final jump on the far outside. Stacelita was favored as well and Cape Blanco was about 2-1. The best horses won those races.
