Does anyone know any details about what happened to make the horsetourneys.com handicapping contest on 8/7 malfunction? It has been rescheduled to 9/24.

Here's the email I received this AM.

Upon further conference, we have elected to reschedule this past weekend's FREE contest for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2011. This contest will be limited only to those that had registered for the August 7 contest and is currently shown on the schedule. Moreover, we have added additional benefits to the free event, with the top 12 now receiving entry fees for additional contests. We feel this re-scheduling is important in order to maintain the contest schedule throughout the rest of the year, and felt it was most fair to limit the event to only those that had played on August 7.

If you had registered for the August 7 contest, you do not need to do anything -- your entry will remain in the system for September 24.

The issue that occurred has been resolved. This website has already performed in a live contest environment handling hundreds of entries simultaneously without incident, so we are supremely confident there will be no issues under typical contest scenarios.

Therefore, we are proceeding with the paid events, all of which will involve entries of 200 or less. The first two events are this weekend on August 13 (an NHC Qualifier) and August 14 (a HPWS qualifier). Both contests are limited to 100 entries each.

Please be assured that your entry fees will not be at risk should there be additional technical issues that affect upcoming contests.

We know that many of you spent a lot of time and energy preparing for this past weekend's free contest, and we look forward to making it up to you. Thank you to all those that expressed their patience and understanding.

The August 13 and August 14 events are now available at the site. Please contact us via the Support form with any questions or problems.
