Going to use this post to track the rest of the month on a spot play basis only. Instead of handicapping entire cards, I am going to post my favorite plays for each day for the rest of August and see where I end up. Going to start with a modest $1000 bankroll and play $20 WP and $5 Exacta boxes with my top 3 selections. Here we go..

Delaware Race -7 The :4: at 8-1 is my top pick here. Winner of last (35% trainer move right back) has been freshened for this by 20% layoff trainer. Gets in light with the bug who was aboard for the win prior to the break. :4: :5: :2:

Hoosier Race -2 My numbers give a huge advantage to the :5: in here. ArL park shipper finally gets off the poly track and has much better speed ratings on the natural surface. Drops down one level for 13% dropping and shipping trainer. Graduation time! :5: :1a: :1: :2:

Hoosier Race -7 I like the :6: in here at 4-1 on the line. Drops in class off a nice Alw try on the weeds last out. Returns to dirt for 29% turf to dirt trainer. Last victory at this dist. :6: :3: :4:

Penn Race -4 My figures go to the :1: at 7-2. Bel shipper returns to the scene of last win on the turf at the dist.(although DQ'd to 7th). Will get a good trip from the rail here. :1: :8: :10:

I routinely bet this style of shippper.

Overtime it's going to return an ROI of 1.9
Break even is at 2.34 -1. Be careful. The crowd might pound it. I'd encourage a shot on something a little higher. Hope for a layover.

Day 1 ended ok for me with 3 bets and a profit of $108. Here are my picks for Wednesday before scratches. Bankroll sits at $1108.

Delaware Race -5 My first pick of the day is the :4: at 4-1 on the line. Looks to set a good trip on or just off the pace in here. Bullet work at Lrl July15th signals readiness. :4: :5: :6:

Delmar Race -1 My numbers give an advantage to the :6: for Sadler on the outside. Drops one level off the claim, a 40% strike rate for Sadler. Has worked 3 times since then and gets the hot riding Rosario. :6: :5: :2:

Delmar Race -2 I like the :1: in here for O'Neil. Drops down one level for a 22% move. Has an awesome bullet workout on Aug 5th at Delmar. Speed jock Pedroza picks up the mount. :1: :8: :4:

Delmar Race -6 The :5: is my pick here in what amounts to a two-horse race by my figures. Knight sends this one on the 2 sprints to route angle which he hits at 35%. Chantel is excellent on the weeds and picks up the mount here. :5: :8: :7:

Evangeline Race -5 Getting a price on my selection here. The :5: at 6-1 on the ML. Throw out last which was a dirt stakes race, returns to preferred surface today for 26% dirt-to-turf trainer. Will be flying late. :5: :6: :1:

Hoosier Race -3 My numbers point to the :5: having a huge advantage here. Just missed last out off the claim by Cox at Pid. 18% 2nd time out trainer jumps this one up one class looking for a spot. A 24% move. Lots to like. :5: :4: :3:

Saratoga Race -8 Giving a little love to the :2: in here. Winner of last for Scherer ships in from CD and has a bullet work coming in. Will get a good pace set-up in here. :2: :3: :1:

Saratoga Race -10 8-1 on the ML. for my next pick the :7: . Stretches out for little known trainer here. Trainer has won 3 out of 5 going sprint to route like today's. Going to get a price here. :7: :1: :2:

Santa Rosa Race -5 I like the :2: in here at 6-1 on the line. Moger trainee has a nice workout Aug 6th. and stretches out to a route today. Has speed to be prominent early n often. :2: :6: :5:

Santa Rosa Race -7 The :2: has a huge advantage over the ones who have run in this event for Bonde with leading jockey up. 0 for 17 maiden has finally found a field to beat. :2: :3: :5:

Well the 1st two days have went according to Hoyle as we've made a profit each day and that's the goal. Here are the picks for Thursday before scratches.. Starting Bankroll $1350.50..

Arlington Race 10- Big advantage to the :5: in here for Hugh. Graham takes the mount for this and has been freshened after knocking at the door the last 2 races. :5: :8: :4:

Calder Race 6- I like a bit of a bomb here with the :3: at 8-1 on the ML. Toss last as a bounce after the big effort two back. Puts the blinkers on for new trainer today and has some speed. :3: :1: :5:

Delmar Race 1- The :2: gets my attention in here for Miller. Coming off a long layoff for 22% layoff trainer. Puts the blinkers on for a 21% move as well. Nice work Aug 6th. :2: :7: :5:

Delmar Race 2- My numbers point to the :2: in here for Hess 15% off the shelf. Ran a nice 2nd when last seen at Hol in May. Freshened for this and Rosario takes the call. :2: :5: :6:

Delmar Race 3- I like another price here with the :10: at 10-1 on the ML. Stretches out for 15% trainer on the move after even tries going short. Nice workouts on Aug 1st and Aug 8th for this. Bomb's Away!! :10: :9: :3:

Evangeline Race 10- The :3: appears to be a standout in this group by my figures. Just missed as the beaten favorite last out for 18% trainer right back. Nice workout on Aug 5th for this. :3: :1: :6:

Hoosier Race 4- I really like the :9: in here at 12-1 on the ML. 3rd time off the layoff for 33% trainer with the move. Ships in from a good 2nd at the Mountain vs better. Drops in for the score. :9: :1: :4:

Hoosier Race 5- I have the :4: winning this event. Ships in for 11% trainer Bowman. 3rd time off the bench for an additional 22% move. Graduation time. :4: :2: :5:

Hoosier Race 9- Kinda taking a stab here with the :6: at 12-1 on the ML. Has back races to win this and we think we'll get a price with the jockey switch. :6: :2: :8:

Saratoga Race 3- The :3: jumps up in class for 14% trainer with the move. Has speed and should control this race from start to finish. :3: :4: :5:

Saratoga Race 4- The :5: should go favored in here and its gets my top billing. Drops to lowest level yet looking for the win for 26% first time claiming trainer. Goes turf to dirt as well a 36% move. Lots to like. :5: :1: :4:

Santa Rosa Race 5- The :6: should handle this group at low odds. but we think there might be some value in the exacta's. :6: :7: :4:

Well the 1st three days have went according to Hoyle as we've made a profit each day and that's the goal. Here are the picks for Friday before scratches.. Starting Bankroll $1605.75.

ARL Race 1- Kickin the day off with the :2: . Speed ball has been freshened for this by 27% layoff trainer. Bullet work Aug.3rd. :2: :6: :3:

ARL Race 3- All signs point to the :5: here for Stidham. Drops in for a tag for 24% 1st time claiming trainer move. Closer gets plenty of speed to chase in here. Toe ropes em all late. :5: :6: :1:

ARL Race 6- If the :1: goes in here we love the 8-1 ML for Bennett. 24% trainer move after winning last race. Only downside losing Perez to the :2: . If the :1: doesn't go, I will not play this race. :1: :2: :4:

Delmar Race 3- The :2: looks to go favored in here for Koriner batting 25% 3rd time off the shelf and 25% as the next out beaten fav. Has caught the right field to overcome 2nd itis. :2: :3: :4:

Delmar Race 4- My numbers point to the :8: for Sal in here who claimed this one last out and scores at 50% 1st off the claim. Winner of 3 straight fits well here at this level. :8: :7: :4:

Evd Race 6- Looks like the :10: holds a class advantage over this group on the double drop for 22% trainer move. Goes turf-to-dirt for another 38% move and makes 3rd start off the shelf. Like every bit of 6-1 here. :10: :5: :3:

Hoosier Race 7- Taking a stab with the :3: at 8-1 on the ML. Ships in from the Mountain for 23% shipping trainer. Goes 2 sprints to a route and has the right stalking style for this. :3: :5: :1:

LaD Race 7- Seem to be stuck on 8-1 shots today as I like the :1: in here. 3rd time off the layoff for 12% move. Toss last and the race 2 back competes here. Will be coming late. :1: :3: :7:

Mon Race 9- The :4: has our attention here for Motion. Puts the blinkers on for an 19% move and ships in for the 3rd start off the bench. Lots to like here. :4: :7: :9:

Penn Race 1- Another long shot at 8-1 today as I like the :6: . Ships in after a couple nice tries at Cnl. Can close or stalk the pace in here and even take the lead if need be. I like the options. :6: :8: :2:

Prairie Meadows Race 11- The :2: appears to be a standout to me here. Claimed last out off the win by 39% next out trainer. Makes a great move into 5000n2y race and should handle these. :2: :1: :1a: :10:

Saratoga Race 4- I like the :5: in here with Maragh up for Badgett. Goes turf to dirt for 20% trainer and cuts back for 17% move as well. :5: :4: :6:

Saratoga Race 9- The :5: looks like the one to beat here for Galluscio who scores 26% after losing as the beaten fav. Only needs a clean trip to beat this bunch. :5: :9: :7:

Will update these for scratches as they come available.

Back in the saddle today after a way to long "real job" weekend. Here are Sunday's plays before changes....Starting Bankroll for day 5 is $1559.25 Sitting on a 4 day profit of +$559.25

Arl Race 2- I'm kicking the day off with the :5: with Graham up. Stretches out on the 3rd time off the shelf and 1st time going long for solid connections. Should relish the extra dist. :5: :2: :4:

Arl Race -3 My figures point to a huge effort by the :9: . 3rd time off the shelf for 13% trainer. Ships in for 17% move from Ind. Been working well for this and will be flying late. :9: :3: :4:

Arl Race -4 The :7: has the look of a live long shot here at 8-1 on the line. Graham takes the mount on RD shipper for 10% shipping trainer. Troubled break last out against much tougher. Drops in after the freshening for 33% layoff move. :7: :2: :9:

Cal Race -5 The :1: will prob go fav. in here. Jumps up in class for 19% trainer move and 2nd time lasix a 22% move. Has speed and experience over most of these. :1: :2: :6:

Delmar R -1 I like the :4: at 8-1 on the ML. with P Val. up. Had a troubled trip 1st out on the poly and should give a great account of himself here. :4: :2: :6:

Delmar R-4 The :2: in here for O'neil with T. Baze up. Back on 5 days rest(18%) and cuts down two classes for a 14% trainer move. Stalker should sit a great trip here and get first run on the turn. :2: :4: :6:

Delmar R-6 My numbers give us another 8-1 shot with the :12: in here for Hollendorfer. Blinkers on for the 1st time (23%) and looks to be able to stalk from the outside post. Good works coming in. :12: :7: :1:

Mon Race -4 I like the :3: in here for the win. Maiden drops down a level (14% move) and has been close at last few. Nice 3f breeze since last signals a possible break thru today. :3: :7: :9:

Mon Race -11 The :3: looks to be our top pick. Drops down 2 levels off the win at Parx for a 12% trainer move right back. May have found a soft spot for 2 in a row. :3: :2: :4:

Good Luck N Good Racing From The KidCapper!!!
