Locate your desktop folder that your files are in. Right click folder with mouse, a small window will appear. Select "send to compressed file". In a few seconds a new Icon will appear on your desk top, it will be in ZIP form.

Log onto your E-Mail account and compose a new message, click "attach" button and attach the new ZIP folder from your desktop. Wait a few seconds for it to upload. Then mail it to yourself.

I then move it to a New folder on the left side of my in box.

Inexpensive backup and retrievable from any computer.

I am using XP Pro but am sure other OS'S are similar

It's hardly a backup, unless you than add,

Monthly copy your email files to an external source (flash, CD, DVD, etc).

Windoz ZIP doesn't offer the configurations settings that the full version of WinZip does. I use the later, which allows me to select files based upon the archive (A) atrribute and then resets the attribute after the files have been backed up. Winzip offers other configuration/selection options as well, such as file splitting.
