Huffington Post reports that he is being sued for $100k in back child support.
Knowing ex-wives the way I do, I didn't think much of it but:

Huffington Post:
The congressman's alleged financial problems made headlines while he was campaigning last year, when former campaign field director Richard Cape claimed he would "spend, spend, spend uncontrollably." His campaign manager quit and sued for $20,000 in nonpayment, and two other staffers who quit accused him of not properly disclosing a 2008 home foreclosure and traffic citations to the public, taking their grievances public. Walsh also bounced checks, including one to a Republican fundraiser.
Joe Walsh have you no shame Sir ????
Quite a guy to decide on the Debt ceiling. I know that all political parties have there share of immoral sleaze bags, but it seems disproportionately high among Tea Baggers. How many Tea Party congressman total? 60?
Financial responsibility. Nope.

Beth and I just watched Casino Jack. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1194417/)

The story is about Jack Abramoff. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Abramoff)

First, it is an excellent movie. Note that at the beginning the disclaimer says, "Inspired by a true story."

Second, it really shows how ugly the Washington world really is.

I strongly suggest that anyone with an interest in politics watch this movie, mostly from an entertainment standpoint. Kevin Spacey was just excellent as Abramoff.

Dave Schwartz

I probably do have a little more resentment about the Tea Party, and I do agree with some of their ideals. They are not behaving well during this Debt-ceiling crisis and I decided to take a cheap shot. I think some of the old-school repubs are classier (McCain, Dole). I have a bad feeling about this guy, his attitude and demeanor.

Never mind his mother is still alive... :bang:

Joe Walsh is still a scumbag. What, you think just because he mouths somethings you like he is not a scumbag? He is still a politician after all.

Ignorance swipes issues with a broad brush. You deride the entire Tea Party for the actions of one dead beat because you resent the faction. It's clear what your stance is and it's punkish at best.

Please post up a "slur" I posted about Obama.

I call him "preznit" b/c hcap referred to GWB as same

I call him Wall Street's "houseboy" b/c GWB was called the same.

However I never referred to Obama as anything but what he is. Certainly not by the N word.

Tea bag / teabagger. You guys should check yourselves on that shit.

I did not imply that you used the N-word. I did imply that you used a slur. I believe that " houseboy " would qualify as a slur. I don't think it is necessarly a racial one. I don't think you are a racist. Not all slurs are racial. I don't believe that I will go back and look at all your posts. I have more slurs to post that my grandmother taught me.

Well then, welcome to your own world, librulls. You call GWB a houseboy it's ok. Someone calls the next preznit the same and it's a slur.

I reject your double standard, but you're entitled to your double standard. Keep on keepin on with the teabagging references. It's what you guys do

Tea Party is what the movement used to identify itself.
Tea Bag was a take of on a sexual activity that was put forth by the lefties.
So yes, it does conjure up a wonderful image perversion, that of a liberal.

This so-called compromise will tell us soon all we need to know about everyone in DC.

Two groups will vote yes for it - morons and traitors. Some will cross over.

Walsh comes across as aggessive in his talking and likely his political dealing. That is likely very important in politics, I imagine he's one of the few that actually does that in front of the cameras, whereas many of the rest do it behind the scenes.

To understand them, one needs to know why they are there for - for cutting spending and not rasing taxes on any class level. They want more cuts, and at a time when the politicians and people seriously know we need cuts. They also don't want to raise the debt ceiling - and by saying one wants to raise the debt ceiling, one is saying indirectly that they want the U.S. to go even further into debt. Now, I realize that the mess has gotten us to the point of needing to borrow right now to pay the immediate bills, and that borrowing would put us over the debt ceiling. But raising it higher than what is needed to pay the current bills and the immediate mess, and to avoid making the vital cuts from so many areas plus avoiding news spending projects and programs (unless others are cut/further cut) is a terrible thing and will just let the political and social and military (wants/needs) forces continue to go out of control. So I strongly feel that they needed to stay as strong and firm on this as possible.

I suspect and fear the politicians will do just enough (compromised compromise) to avoid the crisis, but not make the many cuts to get us merely close to solving the problem.

He're an ugly compromise example that won't work. One side wants to allow abortions. The other side want's them illegal. A comprise of aborthing only half the baby/fetus whould be clearly be a horrible compromise that would only work for one side of the debating parties and not the other, and more importantly would likely cause harm to those seeking abortings as well as unborn, not only immediately, but perhaps in the long run as well.

Sorry to be ugly, but there are such things bad compromises, and a lot of us don't want bad compromised that only work for one side at best.

Yes. There are Tea Parties and Tea Bags. There are also things known as 'douche bag' and then there are is a term Douche Bag/Bagger. This is really the other side of the political spectrum is doing - it's their 'hating back' for (often misperceived) hating. (yeah, I know, those Douche Bags!)

By the way, with all this debt mess, and the huge press coverage of this debt mess and the huge debt and sticky situation that everyone, American and non-American, should clearly see, I strongly feel it is proven that the U.S. is not worthy of more debt. The only thing that helps is that we're probably still more worthy of credit and further debt than most of the other countries in debt and esp those seeking further credit. So it may seem dubious to invest in the U.S. right now, they still look better than most others, so we'll still be able to get it, and not at the worst price vs other nations. At least for the near term.

And don't forget "chimp" which Bush was regularly referred to by the far left loons. But God forbid you call Obama that. In that instance, it's clearly racism according to the left. I see it more as a convenient way to expose the double standard they feel they are entitled to.

Well, F-it then! America's last two elected Presidents, as well as President Abraham Lincoln look(ed) somewhat like chimps! Is it a secret phenonemon of the American Public? Who knows. There are a lot of humans that remeind people of different simians (I remember a nun back in school, very nice white woman, a councelor, who look-wise just struck me that way.) But it's true to many, it may amuse some, may amuse only specific observers, but that opinion alone is not racist. It may be hurtful, and terrible to call them that, but it is what it is. To mean it racially is nasty. But to use it isn't necessarily racist, and has totally clear precident in presidential maligning. Ugly but fair game the way the nasty players play politics. I'm sure the public takes this much more seriously than the candidates themselves. There are worse things for anyone to be called than certain animals. And I'd rather the public say I look like a chimp than say say or be told I think or sound like a chimp. So there. :p
