And on MSNBC.com, NOT ONE mention of his religion or his political beliefs...unlike the savage lunatic killer in Norway recently, whose religion and political leaning (as well as HUGE PHOTO) was PLASTERED all over MSNBC.

I offer for your perusal:

A quick search on Naser J. Abdo reveals he is a Muslim of Palestinian origin, "motivated by extremist Islamist beliefs,":

Funny how that works on MSNBC.

I rest my case ladies and gentlemen...and to think, it only took a few days for this kind of thing to rear its ugly biased head, yet again.

In a perfect world such an individual would be publically tortured, if for no other reason, to set an example. Perhaps this might make even the sickest of assholes think twice.

Sounds like this one was very close to happening.

Hope this doesn't lead some loose cannons to think we need to profile in the war on terror.

don't hold your breath waiting for the "Islamic Extremist Caught In Ft Hood Bomb Plot" headline.
the media only knows about so-called rightwing or Christian extremists.

Not to worry, every other word out of CNN reporter's reporters mouth was that he was a Muslim. Every fourth word was that he had visited child porn sites on his government computer. That God, We got this guy before he did his dirty work, although it appears he didn't not know very much about bomb making or guns.

I think maybe the reason the Norway guy's religion was such a big deal is because it was unexpected. These days, everyone assumes all terrorists are Muslims.

When the IRA was active, I suppose it was thought that all terrorists are Irish.

Immediately after the Oklahoma City bombings it was suggested it was an act of terrorism by muslims.

When the Norway killings were first reported it wasn't known who the terrorist was and the accounts I read presumed it was a muslim. When many people's assumptions proved faulty it was a minor shock.

Perhaps the nationality and faith of a person who commits an act of terrorism should be set aside until the facts are known. But I guess it's just human nature to hypothesize.

There are two references to his being Muslim in the NBC Video. There is reference to bomb making plans from Al Qaeda in the written piece. How that equals not one mention is puzzling to me.

Still, even with this updated article, they NEVER come out and say what this man's background and religion is. Sure, you can ASSUME what it is by what he shouted in court and references to his father in Jordan, but again, I point to the recent Norway psycho; MSNBC had NO PROBLEM referencing both his RELIGION and his POLITICAL LEANINGS in the very HEADLINE of the story.

No such thing here...not even mentioned in the article...not even once.

Ever see those security system commercials? Brinks or whatever? Why is it always a white guy who kicks down the door?

Pace, if you get so upset with MSNBC, why do you still watch them? I am as liberal as it get around here and I quit watching them months ago. Judging by their ratings, you must be their last viewer.

We watch MSNBC because liberals are always accusing us of getting our "marching orders" from Fox News and talk radio. To quote The Beatles "see how the other half lives, look into a Glass Onion".

As I recall the early coverage, the first thought was that it was an attack by Muslims. Then the pictures of a blue eyed, blond haired Nordic type kind of ruled that out. It was only after a 1500 page manifesto surfaced that the media began emphasizing the perp. was a Christian. Why did they do that? Could it be because he screamed it on almost every page of his manifesto?

Fair and balanced - the muslims made sure to even up the record with another near attack.

You see, if you use hotmail to access an old MSN email account like I do, when you exit out of hotmail, you are automatically taken to MSN.COM which has links to news stories. When you click on that story, you are taken to MSNBC.COM for the complete article.

I do NOT watch the MSNBC cable channel, for the record. In fact, I don't watch ANY cable news networks (FOX included).

Hope this clears things up for you. Where you got that I was watching MSNBC I'll never know...
