Congrats to Mark Hopkins, Andy Beyer's partner and the East Coast Beyer Speed Figure whiz, in winning the $300,000 DeFrancis Dash as the owner of A HUEVO.

Amazing PPs on this one with its third race back 10Oct99 at Charles Town. Another trainer Michael Dickinson special reclamation project!

Are you sure its the same Mark Hopkins? Beyer doesn't mention it in the article. Maybe he intentionally didn't, just curious.

Unless the original Mark Hopkins that owned this horse when he got taken down on the 10th of October in a rather large-pursed West Virginia Stake at Charles Town in 1999 for a clenbuterol post race positive sold it to another Mark Hopkins, this is the same one. He used to live or still does near the Saratoga Race Track in Saratoga Springs. Michael Dickinson was also the trainer in 1999.

I wish this guy would write a book-he impresses me more than the rest of them put together. He held two seminars at FL and the insights this guy has into a race are phenominal.

I am also happy for Mark to as i bet this horse with both hands. Dickinson has a distinct work pattern with his horses, works 5 days before they race. he had one in the 6th race to but it only paid 4.00
