I use to play The Mountain all the time, just for the fact that it's at night, but there is some real funky stuff going on there. I would rather battle the poly tracks than to waste my money at the Mountain......

I refuse to offer product for this track. It would be an injustice to my customers.

it happens all over, i noticed one at louisiana downs the other day.. it happens in show pools everywhere all the time. its always been this way where someone is always finding some type of an edge. but i know if you are not on the right side of these things its not that funny.

Lamboguy has it right. It happens almost everywhere.

The para pools are so shallow that it can even sink a "whale".

Lets face it if you had $2,000 win on the ML fav and at the 1 min to post the win pool total had only $15,000 would you not cancel one of your two 1k tickets?

This is odds manipulation. You stick the $2k on when the market opens and scare away the day players, then cancel half ( or more ) of your bet to get better odds.

The only way to beat this is to have real bookmakers on the track. You bet at 2/1 you get 2/1! Matters not if it drifts to 3/1 or gets slapped to 3/5.

Para betting is a joke in weak markets. That is the problem.

Bookmakers are nobody's fool and will always try and balance their books. They win more than they lose ( they even gamble sometimes ), BUT they are in a competetive market on the track with others who want your money.

A free competitive market in a regulated envornment.

Takeout is controlled by market forces, but the track always wins as the bookmakers have to pay their fees ( from your money of course ).

In the UK at Sedgfield on a cold wet Wednesday afternoon in January, rain pouring down, brollies held high and up to your knees in mud. Try laying 2K on ANY horse and you will have to negotiate the price as the market cannot stand it.

In the summer sun of Royal Ascot the bookmaker will smile with glee at any 2K thrown at him.

I have seen so much call for smaller takeouts. This will never happen with "whales" who basically guarantee the tote win pool ( so the track can survive ) then rebating them back the fools gold (your money).

FREE and OPEN Markets.

It's really easy to do it can be 20 people wagering $100 at the same time. I remember quite some time ago my friend said a horse opened at Chester the favorite and when post time came there was less money on him. That's when I ceased playing there.

The exacta pools will usually tell you who the favorite is over 90% of the time. The is one barometer that has stood the test of time in my opinion.

I used to love the Mountain now I hardly look. Having said that do you really think they care? If they could shut down the racetrack they would in a split second.

If Judd would tweet (hint) I might throw a few bucks once in a while or turn on the video. He can really cap the Mountain along with Bombsaway Bob.

One more thing is that we tend to complain when things like this happen and go against us. When the same person make a show bet on the wrong horse (recently) all I heard from was happy people.

When noting the interval wagering (see attachment) it doesn't appear any wagers were cancelled, but rather 80% of the pool was wagered with 2 mins to post. It looks as though someone made a large win play on the 1 horse with 20 mins to post.

That's what I thought on Sunday,

and told my friend that it looked like a whole bunch of money was bet on the other horses,

and then on Monday I saw what looked like the same thing,
but the bet was definitly Canceled Monday,

I saw it.

Do you have a graph for monday's race.

Where do you get these graphs

don't you know this is the late simulcast money? real late sometimes! So let me get this straight. You think there is a person or a group of people who are able to bet willy-nilly after the gates open? And nobody ever notices, or if they do, they don't care?

And this has been going on for years?

That's what you believe?

How do you cancel a bet like that..?

whobet

The Sunday bet wasn't canceled I think after seeing the Graph,

I initialy thought major late betting happened in this race,
Late money,

but I couldn't belive that happened,

then Monday, I saw sorta the same thing,
and noticed that a hugh bet was canceled, I saw this,

so I assumed Sunday the same thing happened,
cause I never saw a betting pattern like that,
Sunday's race betting pattern is even more disturbing then the cancel of the bet on Monday

It was very easy to conclude that Sundays race pool and odds were caused by a canceled bet,

but the Graph posted shows that didn't happen,

if you believe the Graph is a true picture of the betting during that race.

Can anyone vouch for the poster of the Graph, EagleEye Po, only 6 posts.

this is the race I was refering to.....notice how parker's horse #4 is the strong fav the whole way, until the horses hit the turn, then the one horse is slammed. Of course parker's horse blows the break and the one horse sails.

They should put a time limit, of a couple minutes to cancel, or you have to contact a supervisor. Like returns in a department store, you get too many, your out of luck.

I think it is done by people that are laying these rats on Betfair. Mountaineer has huge action on there, along with several other low level tracks.

That pdf file was interesting. IS this a proprietary software one can acquire? I would like to know more about it if you would. Thanks.
