BTBest Predicted Finish Time, using only pacelines meeting your chosen distance and surface limits.

They are both a horse's predicted finish time for todays race.

BT is the prediction based on the paceline that yields the best time.
RT is the prediction based on the most recent paceline.
Of course, they could, at times, be the very same paceline, i.e., if his recent race was also his best.

In both cases items such as variant, weight, etc., adjustments are included in the prediction.

In other words, if the horse's performance in his best race paceline, or recent race paceline, was repeated again today, BT and RT are the predicted times for today based on those pacelines

As a general rule, is the RT preferred over the BT as a predicitive value.
