:1: Yes, it's been forever since I posted anything.

:2: I'm heading to the Gold Coast tournament next week in Las Vegas.

:3: If you like Win-Place, then this is a pretty good tournament.

:4: Let me know if you're going and want to cross paths and talk shop.

Hey Joe, long time no hear!
How've you been?

The HTR crew is in town next week, for the annual seminar and the contest. Wish I could go.

Good luck - take no prisoners!

Doing well... hope all is well with you. I have plenty of time to prepare, as I'm between consulting jobs (I'm assuming I'll find another one soon). I feel like I'm semi-retired... took the family to Australia a few weeks back, and made time to go to the track (appropriately, at the Gold Coast Racecourse)... of course, I won my only wager. ;)

Yeah, it's too bad you can't make it. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the tournament regulars and making a dent in the prize money!

Day One: Slow day... I haven't checked the standings yet, but except for a few early cheers from the Arlington lonshot winners, it was kind of quiet. We get to compete with the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" casting call across the hall form us tomorrow... how appropriate!

Day Two: Much better for me... and for everybody else. I nearly doubled my point total from the day before, and I'm pretty sure I lost ground. While most people try for bombs-only tomorrow, I'll be grinding to cash... the name of the game when the top-three is pretty much out of reach.

Day Three: Not a bad finish -- jumped up 60 spots -- but not enough points in the first two days to get into the money. I made some nice cash plays, so all was not lost.

Even though tournaments are not in my wheelhouse of normal plays, it's good to see the tournament regulars and see if I can catch lightning in a bottle... not this time, but there's always another tournament somewhere.

I'm ready for the grind again in 2012. I can't believe the tournament starts this Thursday. Always a good time.

The family is tagging along this year... not that they'll see me during the day. My kid is now 21, so she'll want me to hang out with her at night... we're night people by nature, so I can see I'm not gonna get much sleep.

Hope to see some PA people there... always seem to run into a few from the HTR crowd.
