As we all know there is a killer heatwave in the mid west and heading east.

Does anyone really know about the weather conditions out there and will it hit Saratoga to stop the meet for a few days until it cools down?

Anyone with weather experience

Can anyone believe the lose if the meet is shut down on opening day

This would be too horrible to think about.

I've never come close to 80 percent humility.

I will take your word for that, so can you please tell me what percentage it's, if the killer heat wave hits the spa?

right now the forecast in that area calls for 97 on thurs, 95 fri, 91 sat, and 80's after that. we all know 97 and 95 with the humidity can be really oppressive.

ps, prairie canceled because of the heat.

nobody wants to see it cancel.even if they lose friday, if they can go sat and sunday, it won't be a disaster.

Really? Even more horrible than suffering or dying horses?

A Belmont day was cancelled during the latest meet. Reviewed the Friday pps and you wouldn't be missing a great card.

Don't say that!
Rains is a deal breaker for me.
Never again.

You would certainly be in the minority in thinking that.

27 miles from me. We're expecting 97 on thursday, 104 heat index and Friday around 90, so probably will go on.

Would they close the track if it hit 104 plus?

Would they close the track if it hit 104 plus? What does it matter?

The high on Friday is supposed to be 93 (NOAA.COM) and around 56% humidity in Saratoga. Hardly the stuff of "killer heat waves."
