An Early look at opening day at Delmar gives us 10 races to cap. We will make adjustments tomorrow for Scratches n such. As always we'll play $20 WP bets and roll the pick3's.(3X3X3=$27 for the dollar bet). On to the card.

Race -1 1 Mile OC40knX1 greets us in the 1st half of the double. Our numbers give a big advantage to the :1: . Baffert trainee has worked twice since last and Rosario takes the mount. :1: :2: :7:

Race -2 1 Mile 1/16th on the turf for 25kn2L here. We like the :2: . Drops in for tag for Cecil (hitting 29% when 1st dropping in). Toss latest when breaking poorly on the dirt, a return to the weeds wakes this one up. :2: :3: :6:

Race -3 6.5 F for 12500 3yr old claimers. The :8: is our selection here. Winner of last claimed by solid claiming trainer (20% 1st out after claim and 70% in the money). Has a win at the dist. and 2 works since the victory. :8: :1: :6:

Race -4 5F MSW for 2yr old fillies full field of 10. We've landed on the :10: Ran a good race at 1st asking finishing 2nd but full of run. Trainer Walsh hitting 21% on 2nd career starts and unless one of the 1sters is a bear. She should win this. :10: :1: :8:

Race -5 1 Mile on the turf for MSW fillies and mares. In a wide open race we're taking a stab with the :9: . Racing for the 1st time on the grass for 27% trainer going dirt to turf and 17% in the 1st route race. Gomez takes the call. :9: :10: :8:

Race -6 6F 25000n2L greets us here with 11 entered before scratches. I love the :6: in here. Jumps up off the claim for 13% trainer with the move. Beaten fav last time out (19% move right back) has( 2) 2nd place finishes on the track and smokin Joe takes the mount. :6: :2: :9:

Race -7 6F OC25000n1x field of 9 kicks off the pick 4. We've landed on the :5: . O'Neil claims this one off the last victory(18% winning right back) and Bejarano stays aboard. Don't usually like to pick horses for sale in Optional claimers but O'Neil is known to dump em. :5: :9: :4:

Race -8 The Oceanside Stakes 1 Mile on the turf. We're going with the :1: in here for Canani with Talamo up. Drops in from the G3 and puts the blinkers on today, a 28% move for Canani. Back to the weeds today and has been working great guns for this. :1: :3: :5:

Race -9 1 Mile for 16000 claimers 3 yr olds and up. Our numbers point to the :4: . Uncoupled half of Mitchell entry looks to sit a good trip in here with Garcia up. :4: :6: :2:

Race -10 The Lucky Last. A full field of 20K Maiden claimers going 5.5 furlongs. We're going home with the :9: at 7-2 on the ML. Should love the polytrack today and bring us home a winner!! :9: :2: :5:

Good Luck N Good Racing From The KidCapper!!!!

If this were your radio talk show I'd say, "Long time listener, first time caller. We don't often agree, but I like your style." As is often the case, I'm playing against you with full intention of crushing my competition. Too bad for me these intentions are seen through only rarely.

Today I fancy horses in back to back races. The first is a leverage long shot/money saving animal at 20-1. The second is a runner I think has a 1 in 4 shot of winning, but is at 12-1 m/l. Gonna bet 1 unit total. 1/6 unit in a double from race 5 to 6. If the first half hits, I can keep the other 5/6 in my pocket, er adw. If not, it's 5/6 unit win race 6.

Race 5: There are a lot of prep and go trainers in the world, but none have paid me off like Barry Abrams. The :3: reeks of larceny. If this horse wins I wanna be live. Might run last, yes. But something smells fishy.

Race 6: In NoCal you see the same runners compete time and again. You get familiar with their problems and their attributes. It looks to these eyes like the trainer of the :11: has worked OT to correct his repetitive slow start problem. It looks likely he'll break on top today. The strength is: He's a quick horse and there's not a lotta pace on. I could see him with a 2 length lead after the opening quarter that he spent very little energy to get. I'll know where I am right there. If it's as I predict, he's the most likely winner in the race. If he breaks slow again, or is used hard to get the lead, or tries to rate off it...It's very unlikely I can beat you or anyone else.

Good luck.

Fire In Excess the blinkers come off.... If he is fit this cagey trainer has the best gate jockey to send from the outside post. I expect he will be clear down the back-stretch..... a contender if Domonation does not run him down after facing much better horses.
