One thing...Mid July weather in the Tidewater region of Virginia can brutally hot and humid. This time they get a huge break.

If anyone is planning on coming down please be sure to go to the windows EARLY. Colonial downs has been more crowded this year than I have ever seen, and 75% of the people are playing 10 cent supers , or have no idea how to use the machines or even bet to begin with. This year I have done very well on the rolling pick3's and the pick4, but have done very poor at the trifecta and superfecta tickets due to not having time to actually watch the horses come on the track and gallop away from the post parade due to being afraid of getting shut out. come on, theres no way you'd EVER get shut out at the window at Colonial Downs. I go every weekend and watch the paddock and post parade, plenty of time to bet. The 10 cent super bettors have to play the tote machines and Yes, they do take a long time. Go to a window with a teller for your tris and exactas.

Tomorrow will be too busy and long lines, handicapp early and get your bets in.
We are so looking forward to Derby Day.

Got pick 3, races 6, 7 and 8, but it wasn't that hard to get 5 ALL 4,2. I never win a thing, so I'm pretty happy.

after being pretty pissed off with all the lines like I had previously warned everyone about, I finally starting hitting races left and right towards the middle of the card and slammed the oaks/derby

Alright!! Va. Derby was nice to you. I think I have to use my little $125 to put kitty down. She's struggled for her 4 years with herpes virus. She's a fighter, but her weight is down to just under 3 pounds.
