Claire Novak is reporting that Frank Mirahmadi scored the Oaklawn gig. I can't think of a better choice.

This is awesome. I've know Frank since his days at The Downs at Santa Fe. Great guy, very knowledgeable and, above all, a strong announcer.

I always found his impersonations entertaining, but his race calls quite boring.

I think we are in the minority but I agree. I love the impersonations. His regular race calls however are poor to average at very best.

Great guy. Remember him from here at Louisiana Downs. He was a pretty good handicapper while he was here too. Glad to see him land a nice gig.

About two years ago I lost my wallet in Vegas the day I was going home. Ran into Frank who I spoke to once or twice at Hollywood Park at The Venitian racebook and told him my bad luck story The guy bought me a slice of pizza and gave me $100 for incidentals for my drive home. Great guy and a heart as big as the racetrack.
