Heading over to Hollywood for the afternoon picks. As always we'll play $20WP on top pick and roll the pick3's when available. (3X3X3=$27 for $1). The picks are made early before scratches. Here we go..
Race -1 1Mile Turf 40kAlw to kick off the card. We like the :3: in here based entirely on the the fact that this race is loaded with speed that can't finish. Is going to need a well timed ride with Rosario up for struggling trainer. :3: :1: :7:
Race -2 6F 12500 Claimers in the 2nd half of the double. My numbers point to the :6: .Claimed by O'Neil (18% off the claim) after winning last. Drops off the win (29% move). Has speed but can stalk. Lots to like. :6: :4: :2:
Race -3 Back on the green at 6F for 25k claimers. We're taking a stab at the :3: at 20-1 on the ML. P Val. stays on and this horse has speed. Price play with a sharp 3F workout Jul10 3F 35.2 :3: :6: :7:
Race -4 1 Mile 1/16th MC20k field of 9. The :6: and :2: both take the biggest drop in racing to the MC level. We'll take straight action on the :6: . Puts the blinkers back on for Drysdale. (25% winning move and he scores at 17% 2nd off the shelf.) :6: :2: :4:
Race -5 6F Turf MSW 55K for Cal-Breds. We like the :2: at 6-1 for Mandella. Beaten favorite last out (Mandella 44% next out winner) has been freshened for this with a very sharp workout Jul02 5F 59.4. Looks ready to fire a big one today. :2: :4: :8:
Race -6 6.5 F Alw57kN1X starts the final pick 3. The :3: for Hollendorfer is an ultra consistent sort. Ran a tough 3rd last out and took a break. Worked 4 times for this and Rosario takes the mount. :3: :5: :4:
Race -7 6F Turf Alw 70k field of 6. We are going with the :5: at 12-1 on the ML. O'Neil trainee looked good winning last and O'Neil hits at 18% 3rd off the layoff. Bombs away!! :5: :6: :3:
