Isn't it terrible?

An old saying that has been around for > 50 yrs in the business is "a trotter is where you will make your money". Now, that saying is from an owner/trainer perspective, I'm not saying it's the same way for a bettor. But this saying has been used for a long long time. If you're a trainer that has the knowledge and patience to work with a trotter, a gold mine is at your fingertips.

The problem is there are just not a lot of trainers that are successful with trotters either because they lack the knowledge needed or simply don't have the patience. You don't need to look any further than observing how many are now wearing trotting hobbles. They can't figure a trotter out...so on go the hobbles.
