Many tracks post results of $2 wagers for convenience. If the 3 horse had won, then the bettors that cashed their tickets get 50 cents worth of that $2 price, i.e $370.75.

there only three winning tickets at 50 cent if the 3 won (did not win) nobody played a $2 pick 4 on that horse if they did the will pays would be lower. why would you get less playing a higher wager $2 than a lower wager .50 cent.
nobody got the point. people claim they play for $2 wagers but i do not see it something because pools total and will pays do not add up. like there not enough money in the pool to claim a $2 pick 4

Many tracks report the payoffs with a $2 base. For example, I have seen a $2 superfecta payoff posted of $70,000 when the actual superfecta pool was only about $9,000. You can't win more than the pool. What happened no doubt was that two 10-cent supers were sold on the winning combination, and they each paid $3,500. Had a third 10-cent super been sold on the winning combo, the track would have posted the $2 super paying $46,000, but it would have been three 10-cent tickets each collecting about $2,300.

I see this also, mainly at the minor tracks...and it's an insidious practice, IMO.

The racetracks are trying to make the wager seem alot more lucrative than it really is.

I remember a recent Evangeline superfecta listed as paying $100,000+...eventhough the total pool contained less than $14,000.
