Ray,

I liked Mugshot Jesse, and after superchalk/superchalk, the pick-three was paying $54 ... . Howevah, after one trotter broke stride, my boy settled in fourth, pulled first over and sh@t the bed. Is it just possible that from fifth (if the breaker stayed onstride) he'd have a better shot at flushing cover ? I understand that the threat of a shuffle, passing lane or no passing lane, makes drivers pull out without cover (I sometimes dread post :1: for this reason).

Maybe Jim Marshall has it in for me ? After all, I did, as a nine-year-old brat, see him run the wrong way at Kezar Stadium for a safety. :D

By the way, the mother of the family that took me to that game in 1964 was at my friend's funeral this past Wednesday in Berkeley. She must be well over eighty. Her firstborn is sixty.

Could be toetoe, breakers in this game change the whole complexion of the race not just their own chances. That's why I shun all races with too many (3+) bad actors.

BTW ... Trivia Question
Who did 49ers play against in their first game at Kezar Stadium?
Ans, the New York Yankees 9/8/46

Results:

Yonkers R12.........2 w/1,5 ...Dc's Piggy Bank-6/1
I wish this little Piggy had GB again. will need 8/1 with Gregory

Hi Ray 2000. Your picks are great and I always follow along. I know you said you'd need 8-1 on DC's Piggy Bank, so I take it that you didnt bet?
Interestingly enough the horse raced better last night than he did the week before with Brennan. And I am pretty sure last night was a step up in class. As great as Brennan is on a loaded up pacer, he shows an inability to keep several trotters flat (not necessarily Piggy). I speak from experience.

thx lenny

When I post picks here, I always include them as a small bet in my noon-time batch-wager uploads... 2$ for key Exacta Boxes and 5$ Conditional Win if 3/1 at 0 MTP. That's just me, I don't like putting up a pick if I wouldn't risk my own money on it unless I call it as a "Raw Robot Pick". That batch bet went thru on the Piggy even tho the final odds were 3/1, so I did collect a little bit on the win.

But it was around 10:30 when my Exacta box 3-5 lost by a length in the 11th so I shut down, went to bed and missed putting any real money on the last 2 wins. The 8/1 on Gregory was a bit of an exaggeration to make a point that I preferred Brennan but I guess I'll never know if I would have bet any more on the piggy or not. :)

Good Luck

Ray thanks for your answer. You do great work and I have to imagine it is very time consuming. Either way, you are very good at what you do and come off as a real gentleman.
