I didn't see a pp on this one. Was it the first race for the horse? If so, it would be a good to watch. It showed early lead and was in contention for a 1/2 before tiring. It would definitely be eligible for improvement as it is only a 2yo.

That track is tough on me.. I used to play Golden Baze fields..but gave up on it...

This day. They go 23.4 and 48.2 in the first race. The next 9 they go

21.x and 44.x all night long.

In the 2nd they went 3/4 in 56.2. I know we have regional and surface adjustments a handicapper can make.. But these fractions are from outer space to me.

Hope you do not mind me budding in- sometimes when the GGF treack is sealed the jockers tiptoe until they are sure the track is fast. I have seen that before. GGF must have left the track unsealed Sat. but sealed it Sun. Horses with odds less than 1-1 did lousy over the weekend, other favs did well. Dry or sealed, I like faster-than-normal works and races!!

Intentionally slow pace is obvious when trip or turf handicapping, but I see it sometimes for "off" tracks also. Seemed like very few favs wanted to be near the pace. Some GGF trainers with outside posts hold their horses if they think the track will be real fast- I have seen Hollendorfer lose races his horses should have won if he figured (correctly) on a normal or even slow track as leaders faded.
