just got an email from a buddy who's at the saratoga harness and casino tonight. number 7 in the 6th race "some neat vacation" dumped his driver scoring down, crashed thru the fence and headed for the slot machines!!!
as fans headed for the hills, he was flying down the apron of the casino/track with the empty racebike bouncing around behind him.
a horseman in the crowd risked life and limb to snatch him up and early reports are there were no injuries to people or horse.
bad situation which could have gotten pretty ugly.
