Santa Anita picks for Sunday:

R1 - #2 Excessive Spice-Like the trainers stats with limited starters. In Excess solid with sending out firsters.

R2 - #7 Listen Indy-Promising runner last year, bred for turf. Ran well last time despite wide trip.

R3 - #1 Bingo Card-Second try for Carava, drops into race with what projects to be a hot pace. Been drilling well in the AM.

R4 - #4 Mist of the Empire-Back to best distance here, shades come off. Expecting an improved effort.

Santa Anita picks for Sunday continued:

R5 - #10 Islander-Can’t go against him, he loves this course so much. Price may be too low to play him though.

R6 - #7 Weeping Willow-Like this barn with young horses. Been drilling well.

R7 - #11-Dubai Belle-Showed that dirt is no problem last time. Plenty of pace to close on here, the post won’t hurt her too much because of her running style.

R8 - #3 Garden in the Rain-Think she’ll get the garden spot behind the 2 frontrunners.

R9 - #1 Two Thirty Seven-Going against suspicious dropping ML favorite. Should gun for the rail and the lead.
