USPS restricts sending un-islamic materials to troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“the U.S. Postal Service website (http://www.usps.com/supportingourtroops/mailingrestrictions.htm) uses sharia guidelines to list what is forbidden in packages sent from America to U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan”

Of course USPS uses Sharia law to determine what can be mailed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Sharia law is the law of Iraq and Afghanistan. If items were being sent to France or Germany USPS would use the laws of France or Germany to determine if the items were acceptable. It does not matter if the items are being sent to military personnel. They are accountable to the laws of the country they are stationed in.

Imagine that, fighting a war and the enemy controls our communication.

I don't see that it says Christmas Cards are forbidden unless you consider them to fall under the religious articles category. Even then, you can send a Christmas card to a soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan, You can even send him a box or boxes of cards to send back to friends and relatives in the United States.

Who decide this? Was it in fact the military that made that decision and USPS is merely following their request? Before we get too exicited we know the answers to those questions.

Why would anyone use the USPS to send packages anywhere?
There are professionals out there for that. :D

I think I will create my own religion. Part of the religious laws will be a law that says the postal service is evil. Can we condemn the USPS? Can I get an amen?
