Race 1
I have my contenders as:

#8 at 5/2
#6 at 9/2
#4 at 9/2
#7 at 5/1

#6 is the clear play to win here. Willing to forgive his last at his current odds and will look for an improved effort. I'd play a double but the second race is a pass for me.

Comes out 7-8-2. #6 stalked the pace before dropping the anchor in the lane. Passing the next race, be back for the third.

#4 at 5/2
#6 at 9/2
#8 at 9/2
#1 at 5/1

If the tote odds on the 4 hold, I'll go with him. He may bounce to the moon off his last though!

Comes out 4-1-7. #4 won easily. Passed on the win bet and wheeled the 4 over 1,6,8. Cashed but nothing to write home about as the exacta returns $24.

Hard for me to seperate my contenders. Knocks on 2 and 6 are their awful jockey and trainer respectively.

#1 at 4/1
#2 at 4/1
#3 at 4/1

Won't know who the pick is (if any) until close to post.

-Justin

edit: 6 is scratched, 2 is the clear play here.

Comes out 8-10-something. Not even close on that one. On 2 longshots in the 3 races I've bet...maybe one will come in for me at some point today :)

I really like the #1 in here. Good distance record and good figures. Will play at 4/1 or higher.

Nothing doing in race 5, comes out 3-8-7. 1 set a pressured lead before tiring in the stretch.

Race 6:
#1 at 5/2
#4 at 9/2
#5 at 9/2
#11 at 5/1

Played the 5 for a few bucks in race 6 before walking the dog, doesn't look like I missed anything. I wouldn't bet race 7 with someone else's money. Be back for race 8.

-Justin

ok...I lied, I'll take a straight 5-9 exacta.

With the Cal Cup starting, no time for this anymore. The pick is whoever is highest ranked and exceeds my odds...if none, pass!

#1 at 5/1
#4 at 5/1
#9 at 6/1

Race 9
#3 at 3/1
#1 at 4/1
#6 at 9/2
#9 at 9/2

Race 10
PASS!

Race 8 exacta comes in order of selections and pays $35-something w/ a 4/5 on top. Easy pickings! Figman was all over that one as well.

Milkowski and I were on the mark with the "1" BLACK SILK in the Aqu-8th race. Missed the win bet and only got the exacta but I just love those gigantic overlays pegged by myself at 4-1 and by Milkowski at 5-1 then goes off at 22-1 and RUNS BIG finishing second. Checked and changed course in the stretch as well. Now if we could only find three or four of these every day.......what possibilities there would be! Note the final contender, the "10" pegged at 6-1 and off at 12-1 finished third to complete the TRI.

2 mid-priced exactas on the day, nothing to get too excited about. Still made some money playing here today thanks to the 8th race.
