Any book is that good if it makes you money.
Personally, I didn't get that much out of his first "Match Up" but apparently he rewrote it and corrected typos etc and others say the final product was better.

At least one of the reason Jim only had 100 copies printed of the Match Up 2 is that all of it - the whole 5 Step Approach - and beyond is the subject of an entire Forum of examples, extensive explanation of concept (by Richie P), numerous example races and commentary by Jim Bradshaw himself. Free - you do the study.

Only few people can profit using the Match Up concept. Don't waste your money. I trade mine for all Ray Taulbot lessons.

That's about the only time I'll part with my autographed copy of The Hat's book.

P.S. You're absolutely right, Pino, 'tis not easy to grasp the Match Up concept.

TrifectMike,

Are you out there? If I remember correctly, this guy uses feet per second for figuring out speed without a track variant. Lot's cappers here liked his style. That's how important a better variant is.

The stuff in Hat Room is pretty good. The power lines and power moves, as well as several other ideas can be used effectively with other methods, including pace/speed figures, not just raw times. The ideas are there, the creativity in using them is up to you.
