Anyone ever hear of a PA sire named Gouldings Green?

I'm not sure if he's a trotter, pacer or thoroughbred.

I can't find any record of any starter by him anywhere.

Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places????

I think he was a Eugene Melynk horse that was campaigned in the midwest. Want to say Anthony Reindstetler (sp?) was the trainer.

He can't have more than 1 or 2 crops at the races so far.

Thanx for the info. Someone is offering the general public a yearling for sale @$1500, which is less than the stud fee.

Nerver a positive sign, right?

He looks like a definite maybe to me. Good blood. Earned about $700,000 with multiple placings in Graded Stakes. Could be wrong but I think his first crop are 2 yo's. Key is not the price, but rather the dam and the looks of the yearling.

Ask the owner of the farm, Ed Price, about him.

If he is PA bred, somebody would probably trade you a ham sandwich for the breeders awards.

The yearling for sale for $1,500 is out of a mare by Abaginone who's been siestaing in Mexico, of all places, for the past decade. His stud fee is either 200 pesos or a hot tamale.

The 2 yo half sister to the yearling we are talking about recently sold for $22,000 at the Timonium 2 yo in training sale. The issue is not the sales price of the yearling but what he looks like as an individual. If he looks like a piece of crap, he is worth $0. If on the other hand, he looks like an athlete, there is enough blood to take a shot on him if the price is right.

Someone sent me info that the stable selling these shares for $15.00 a point has a dozen or so in training and is winning at a 7% clip. I think that says all I need to know, Geez, a case a beer or two Happy Meals at Mickey D's cost more than that! Glad I posted sand received some unbiased info.

7% winners would turn me off too. But I thought we were talking about the merits of the yearling for the price. Depending on his looks as an individual he could well be worth the $1,500 or even more. Factor in who would train him and we have a whole new calculation.
