This thread will be for picks made all thru the summer.Havent had the time lately to put in the work since my sons arrival from school.Im planning to have a big summer,early this year i had 4 straight winning months,from mid May thru now its been tough, less bets,making bets i normally wouldnt bet.So lets move on and congratulate any memeber who made $ on the triple crown.

The Bet-$75 to win on each- #7 Exculsive Love lasts race was huge from post 10 hung on to dry, showing good speed then came up empty in the lane against Snow Top Mountain who becoming a real good horse,Cass lays him up 2 months regroups and finds a spot.Last year he ran 2nd in the gr 2 Lake George up at Saratoga.3 race off the layoff.

#6 Media Madness-Upcoming turf horse,last race was alot better then it looks on paper,winning move under 3,good enough to win this race.

8th race-#12 Karma Shield one of the best angles in all of racing,blow out speed on the turf cutting back to 7f,in this case its 6.5 furlongs which is good enough,2 races back he ran into that beast CJ RUSSELL who has then come back and won in a small stake,show real good speed even produce a winning move in that race.Last race he runs on the turf and shows even better speed,indication to me that Karma Shield is holding his form.The bet $150 win.

Karma Shield 6/1 ran solid,cruz tried to keep the wiinner inside bottled up,but the 1 was too good and it cost Karma Shield 2nd.

So $150 back in my pocket after my scrtaches and after further study,I will wager half $75 on Bouquet Booth in the 11th.

The TURF MARATHON TURNBACKER is a proven turf horse in a







turf race that is turning back from a marathon distance in their







previous start. We are looking for a turf race preferably at 1 ½







miles on the turf, although 1 3/8 miles or a similar distance will







work.We don’t want to bet a horse that is off-form, but if you trust this angle you

will notice some amazing turnaround performances. Just keep in mind to

look for:

• A proven turf horse

• Turf marathon in prior start

• The horse ran evenly with the pack, showing it has the cruising speed

to be competitive

Prove It – Since turf marathons are somewhat infrequent, this is not a

pattern that you’ll see every day, but it’s exciting when it pops up. Here are

three recent examples we were able to clean up on, all because of the Turf

Marathon Turnbacker.

1) Cavan Thunder was running at Churchill on Nov. 27, 2009, and she wasn’t

respected at all at 26-1 in a field of 12 runners in the nightcap on Clark

Handicap day. But what she had going for her was significant. She was

coming off two turf marathons, including a very competitive race at

Arlington Park on September 19 when she earned an 83 Beyer figure.

Running back in another turf marathon (but not turning back), she obviously

didn’t care for the off turf. But at Churchill, she was in super form and she

pounced on the competition.

Quick recap from yesteday both of my spot plays were scratch, i stupidly forced a bet on Bouquet Booth 8/1 in the 11th showed real good speed first time on turf held well for 3rd.Karma Shield ran 3rd at 6/1 solid race the winner was tough,M.Cruz starting riding other horses instead of his own.

All that being said i needed #2(Crown of Thorns) or #10(Giant Oak) to hit the pick 4 which were paying both over $900 for a $1.Both horses ran like shit.
Though it was a losing day ,my horses ran good.The name of the game is cashing tickets.

3rd race $150 win-#8 Go Lydia Go is sitting on a big race.For starters she takes a drop in class of what seems like terrible form.I see different.She caught a sloppy track in her last broke from post 1 and rushed up in 21.4 opening quarter.2 back at Keenland her first race since Sept 10 she broke from post 1 and had single pace til the last 100 yards where she finished real good.Mr.Corey Lanerie picks up the mount today and Go Lydia Go will have one good kick at the top of the stretch.3 workouts since her last race.

Woodbine June 19

2nd race $75 win-#5 Brite Sabbeth in his last race run on the turf BS broke from post 9 and dueled the whole way around the track ran splits of 24/46.2/1:10.3 he couldnt get a breather while being hung out,he held well and yielded to finish 4.Now BS cuts back to 7f with plenty of bottom.BS will have a good trip and im hoping i get 7/1.

Runs Sunday,i saw his first 2 races and this horse is the real deal,Mike Welsch writes this article about POWER WORLD!

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Trainer Neil Howard knows he’s taking on a tall task with his top 2-year-old prospect Power World, who will go up against the likely odds-on favorite Overdriven in Sunday’s six-furlong Sanford Stakes. But Howard believes when the juvenile races begin to stretch out further in distance, perhaps as early as the Grade 1 Hopeful later in the meet, that his already graded-stakes-placed colt will really have a chance to blossom.

Overdriven, trained by Todd Pletcher, and Power World are among the eight 2-year-olds that were entered Thursday for Sunday’s $150,000 Sanford, the first of three juvenile stakes to be decided here this summer. The other races are the 6 1/2-furlong Saratoga Special on Aug. 15 and the seven-furlong Hopeful on Sept. 5.

Power World won his career debut going 4 1/2 furlongs in somewhat of an unconventional manner for a young and inexperienced horse. He rallied from last, nearly a dozen lengths off the lead, to register a one-length decision against maiden special weight opposition at Churchill Downs. He stretched out to five-eighths for his next start in the Grade 3 Bashford Manor, finishing second behind the speedy Exfactor.

“His first two races have been good, but I think his best will probably come later when he gets to stretch out even further,” Howard said. “He ran well but got beat by a good colt in the Bashford Manor. I think maybe we’ll be at a disadvantage against a quick one like Todd’s [Overdriven] in a race like this, but ideally he’ll run well enough to go on to the Hopeful. Seven-eighths should be very suitable for him.”

Some recap thoughts if not for chasing early i would have been +over 300.

Rule #1.Dont chase when losing early.
Though i changed game plan thru the day it did benefit me in a positive way,but i wouldnt make it a habit.

The last race at the spa hurt $75 to win on the #9 finished 2nd at 14/1 and i felt i didnt capitolize enough on this race.

his last race was better then it looks,he broke from post 2 was ranked ,steadied Ravij was told to send but it never happen.They had put the blinkers on and they unloaded at the windows he went off at 5/1.Ran 3f then backed up.

That day he was cutting back from 7f to 6f,tough turn back.Today the Blinkers come back off,Chavez will ride, Martin the trainer has send 2 starters and has 1 win already at the meet.

Caramel Bay never had a fast work since he started working out in May...unitl he worked out at Saratoga,47.3- 5/89 on July 25.

Worth a flyer at huge odds,also keep a eye on the #7 Phil Maneuver classic profitable angle

Vivere was one of my spot plays on saturday.He was scratch when he drew post 1 and now he draws post 10,and this field seems to be much tougher.Solid works,Stall and Bridgmohan connections.

Vivere outworked Cease another Stall -Claiborne who came back and won yesterday.On june 13 worked with Sour another Stall-Claiborne colt who came back and ran 3rd in a tough allowance won by Dream Warrior and ran evenly in the Illinois Derby.That same day Bind worked 4f.On June 5th out worked graded stakes winner APART a older horse,Vivere is a filly.

One quick side note Sour runs today in the 9th race at Churchill the following race after Vivere.

All system go Imo will tracked and then pounced.

^Got off to my worst start in years. Over the last week I've made up all my losses and then some. Mainly on Badgett's Ms. Lydian in Friday's 9th that I pounded. Had one of those weeks where I didn't play much, but what I played usually won. Hit 3/4 on about 6 straight pk-4's.

Hoping to turn that into 4/4 late today, singling Orsonian in the last and going pretty deep in the first three legs. Really love the card today starting in the 4th.

Also will have some on yours and these:
4) :3: - Looks like a sucker play on the surface I feel and hoping doesn't take much action. Very underrated performance 2 back at the distance in CT in my opinion. Getting back to the right distance and facing a field that I don't think truly wants 7.
5) :2: - Class hike is steep after beating a bunch of NYRA has-beens at the Lakes in the last. Will be watching this one in the post parade/loading (if possible)...didn't want to go in last time, but 5 for 8 lifetime, didn't run off in the last and I think the connections have every right to take a shot here in a suspect field. Will have the :3: and :7: on my multi-race exotics here, but betting the :2: to win if she handles the Toga crowd warming up.
9) :6: - Maybe being a Zito homer here but the chalk looks like a play against based on the curious spotting. Will be using the chalk, :1: and :4: in the pk-4, but betting the :6: to win as off the layoff in the last probably needed it and in my opinion faced a much better field. Beat Ron the Greek home. Lost to a perfect trip, impressive winner, Pleasant Prince. 45 days since and not the most steady work pattern for a runner that has a spotty track record. Horses coming out of Monmouth have run well though...with little speed in here and a number of deep closers I'm thinking sits the trip, gets first run, and hopefully the :4: doesn't fire.

Sorry to post this in your thread, but once I got rolling I just kept going. And posting selections in my own thread has proven nothing but a hex so far this year. Bennie the mistake was the #2 in the 9th was supposed be the #2 in the 11th. I had $125 to win on Calebs Posse not on Jealous Girl.I would never bet a horse like Jealous Girl thats why if you look carefully at my late pick 4 she wasnt used.I apologize for the mistake

I wind up winning for the day +432.I couldnt post the correction since i didnt have any access to a computer in Melbourne,Fl.
As for as my early pick 4 i needed the #12 in the 3rd race to hit the pick came up the other 3.Same story most of us have.

One more point,i have posted this on this thread a handful of time.The most profitable angle in racing is the cutback from long to 7f.Especially race coming from the turf.The reason i bring this up is simply this(i 99.9% of time always use horse in some way,most of the time its a win bet).Pretty Boy Freud in yesterdays first race cameof this angle and it cost me huge money..Why?My budet fro the Travers $475,Multirace exotic,along with win bets and a triple wager,i didnteven look at Pretty Boy Freud til late last night.50/1.Oh well maybe i just start looking at the whole freaking card.

Well as i close this summer thread i wind up winning +374.Its was fun and thanks for any replys on this thread.Taking a 3 week vacation im off to Key west.Im going to start a fall thread,i couldnt get much of what i wanted on this thread due to spending alot time with my son this summer missed a couple of weeks and it cost me,but time with family could never be recovered,Until then may all your photos be winning ones.See ya.

5th race-Aquifolia-Gets the weeds and improves.
7th race-Invocation-Pulpit horse ran a huge race,green first time horse but closed with interest.At 4/1 im buying the stock.

As for as the Woodward-IMO bombs away-Convocation,Ice Box,Rule.
Convocation is worht a flyer and so is Ice Box and Rule.

When im away the mice will play,missed out on this 7/2 shot while fishing in keys..Had him in stable alert for 2 months gave him 2 races to get in winners circle after maiden win and bingo...:mad: Tough game

Hit it Rich-Had no room in stretch to run ,tough trip,keep in your stable..
Aquifolia-Ran good and was game dueled til stretch breaks maiden at Belmont
Invocation-Was huge and ran 2nd to the goods,sweeping turns will help Invocation at belmont,keep in your stable..
Ice Box and Convocation ran terrible but.....put in your stable for future turf races.;)
