foreigners seem to get a lot of respect and attention whether they deserve it or not.

what was the name of that horse from japan a few years ago that looked real good breaking his maiden at belmont and then they were pointing to the belmont stakes? i believe he was a full brother to a good horse and the owner said he gave the ton he spent on him as a yearling for 1 reason...to win the belmont.

never worked out.

casino drive actually was a good horse, his connections were just bat crazy.

never did understand the master of hounds love. he's freaking won 1 race in now 9 attempts.

but that's every year. i have to go with mucho macho man for the most overrated.

any race that he finishes really really close is more vindictive of how bad a race it is. he just isn't that good.

the horse being a good solid horse, who looks nice and has a good pedigree
being trained by top irish connections and the idea that foreign trained horses are "made for the 12f belmont"
horseplayers misreading his kentucky derby run

Agreed.

Nehro. Hopefully now he will be dropped into something he can win...

Most disappointing horse I, for some inexplicable reason, stayed with the whole TC season. I am going to seek professional help to try to understand why, when the horse was obviously outclassed in the first two legs, I STILL thought he was going to throw a "monster" yesterday. Yikes. I would have hit the super if the 1st-2nd and 3rd place horses were disqualified.

Toussaud, hes not a bad horse,im selling my stock on Nehro, every race he runs he looks good on paper, when the race is over hes got your money.Even at a mile he needs a pace scenario. No thanks.Stock sold!

Wow, can't believe all the hate for horses who didn't fire over a wet track going a distance they'll never run again.

No hate here for Nehro, he's just a money burner as stated above. I feel bad for the horse now that he's injured. The TC trail ran him into the ground.

BTW, this was a very, very funny sentence: "I would have hit the super if the 1st-2nd and 3rd place horses were disqualified."

That horse is the bane of my existence.

All of the alleged "closers" from the biased Derby haven't done much, that is for sure. Animal Kingdom is ok, the rest, yuck...Nehro, Master of Hounds, Santiva, Brilliant Speed, Mucho Macho Man.

It's funny...all of the hyped horses coming into the Belmont...only one of them finished ahead of Shackleford, and barely at that...

Animal Kingdom, Mucho Macho Man, Master of Hounds...all beaten by Shackleford, who incidentally, held a one length lead over the field at the 10 furlong mark...

Just sayin'...and unless you had Ruler On Ice or Stay Thirsty, ya'll lost your money just like I did...but ya'll took the worst of it as far as value was concerned, in my opinion.

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION but hard closing closers on the stretch out is one of the worst plays in horse racing. the race dynamics just are not the same.

Someone standing next to me at Arlington Saturday tried to explain the win of Ruler On Ice for having blinkers on. I mean come on guy, come up with something better if you want to fake having the winner.

After reading Haskin's piece from Bloodhorse I think MOH has had some pre race issues.
We know the poor horse had to do his quarantine , but then to get a stall
surrounded by fillys. As reported by SH . Comerford was prepared to take him home because he couldn't calm him down.
Just a shame there isn't an additional comment section under the workouts
for these types of added stress.
