Wow... will be interesting to see what MOH goes off at tomorrow. Anyone have examples of times when the DD wagering was a lot different than the WPS pool wagering?

Shackleford has absurd amounts of value.

2 things stand out

1) obviously MoH basically tied for favoritism sticks out like a sore thumb

2) Shackleford is getting no respect at all

MoH must have made a very good impression at Belmont the past 2 days. Everybody I talk to has been very tight lipped as to how this horse has looked. Guess the cat is out the bag on him now. In addition, he is also tied for 2nd choice at 5-1 in the wagering as of 6 pm eastern friday.

Shackleford is 16-1 as of 6pm.

It will be interesting as to what these 2 horses go off at, at post time.

Not too hard to figure out who the "wise guy" horse is for the 2011 Belmont. ;)

Have you ever had a bad feeling about a horse based on the odds he is going off at ? We all love overlays and bet accordingly. But after watching thousands of races you get a sense of what odds the "public" should make a horse based
on standard handicapping principles. Shackelford just won the Preakness. He barely got beat in the Florida Derby. He led until late in the Kentucky Derby.
Hell, My software line has him the favorite.
If you think Shackelford is a big overlay, go ahead and bet him. Me, I am passing on him. Just remember
the axiom, "If it is too good to be true, it usually is".

There is one thing for sure about NY racing, if a couple of front runners win the early races, his odds will plummet like the ball in times square on New Years Eve.
