What's the profile (speed, tactical speed, closer) of a typical winner at PID? I've never really given the track much attention due to the surface. I have reviewed the past 5 days, but that's a very small sample size. Does the profile of the typical winner differ for sprints vs route races? Finally, is the track playing differently this yr vs. last? Thanks.

I just hit the eighth race exacta with two horses that sat off the lone lead pace.

Speed has done very, very well so far this meet - much more so than in past years. For example in 32 six furlong races, 53 percent have won going wire-to-wire!

Take note of jockey Carlos Montalvo. He was good here last year but has had a slow start this year. On fire tonight as he brings home a 39-1 winner, and finishes second with an 11-1 and 64-1.
