Hey Guy! You are so right about PG, awesome in the SA Derby, only chaulk to come through Sunday, He looks like the one for KY., Just don't bring him to Oaklawn, It's the "Graveyard of Champions" i.e. Heritage of Gold and Spain, and Sir Bear.....
Well I got a couple for you for Thurs. I can't find my overnight, so I'll give the names, first is HUSH MONEY i believe she is in the 5th, she's not much, running in a cheap maiden race, second last time, really like her this time, don't know what kind of price we'll get. Just hoping she breaks her maiden, she's real skiddish filly, or high strung, what ever you want to call it, we've been treating her with some stuff to quieten her down and it seems to be working wonders on her, don't worry it's legal..
2nd horse is Country Glitz, Arky bred, I paid $1500 for him when he was a baby, as a buddy for another horse i paid 10K for, and he just laps the good horse. He ran 2 seconds here, one getting beat on the nod, and then broke his maiden, we ran him in the RAinbow Stakes, Ark. bred stake race for 3yr olds, and our rider got us into a speed duel, don't know why, as he rated him the day he broke his maiden, horse doesn't need to be on the lead, anyway rider went to LS, so we have a new rider, RD Williams, good rider, will get him off the pace and relaxed. drew the outside, but he always draws the outside, good for rating him anyway. The horse that beat us in the Rainbow is in there, and the horse that got us on the nod is in there,he's a 4 yr. old, so we should get an excellent price on Country Glitz, he's going into this race sharper than he went into the stake, they better have their track shoes on..... He is in the last race Thurs.... I've got a real good one for this summer, a grass horse, may run on the dirt opening day at PRM. He'll run on both, but everybody thinks he's a grass horse, so we should also get a good price on him too.
Talk to ya later,
Leslie

Thanks racehoss. I'll definitely check 'em out. We're expecting rain here thurs, so hopefully it will work in their favor. I'll be pulling for them.

Saw your big races this weekend. On TRN, John Peisen called the Racing Festival a "mini- Breeders Cup". After he rattled off the runners coming to HS, I can't argue his point. You guys had some heavy's running there.

The FG horses have been winning at will here vs the HOU runners. When the OP horses arrive, the competition will get better and perhaps the prices also.

Good luck & enjoy the final week of racing up there.

Racehoss,

I looked at OP's pp's and saw your entries. Man o' man, Hush Money is in some tough company! Fires, Barnett, Moquett, Wiggington, Hal Wiggins, Petalino......That's some heavy company for an Arkie bred.

Will be pulling for them both, watching on TRN.....Good luck!

Yep! They both got in a little tough, but I think they will suprise a few people, as far as those trainers you mentioned go, we been running against those guys for years, they don't scare us at all, got to remember a good horse is dangerous in anybodies hands. Hush $ is not accredited Arky bred, cause we bred her mother back to a Texas Stud, but considering that, she tries real hard, and Glitz should have never been in a speed duel in the rainbow, jock didn't follow the orders from headquarters, which happens sometimes, If we can lay off that pace today and things go our way a little bit, I think he'll be right there, probably should have run him back for a tag, but didn't think the race would come up so tough, we're trying some different things with him today, and he might be worth a couple of bucks. Another horse to look at today belongs to a friend of mine in the barn with us, Dave Andes?, the horses name is GOLD FUN SPUN, in the eight race, I believe, don't have program with me right now, he's in the 1 hole, very nice horse, I had him the day he win here last time, paid $21, if I'd known you then I'd of give you the horse, he's 2-1 today, should win again, he's a freak, my brother's been galloping him, before that he would dump a rider every day, bro's got him going good, and he is a runner, not in with much today, be worth the bet, got a better rider today too, Borel. And the Count Fleet is going to be great, Bidis ,Bonopaw, and Abajo. There's your TRi. box. Bidis is 4-1 in the form and he loves this track, which means a lot, it is rock hard, they do that every year. Bidis will probably beat Bonopaw, and I just love Bonopaw, but OP is the GRAVEYARD OF CHAMPIONS, i.e. ( Sir Bear, Spain, Rock and Roll) I don't know what it is about this track, If I had a nice horse like that I wouldn't bring them here, no matter how much $ their giving away they just get beat, feel sorry for Balto Star, but maybe he'll like the track, that Traditionally sure did...But anyway better go, don't let those heavy head trainers intimidate you, they sure don't intimidate us, thier stock does, You can ask any one of them about my mother (Sue Thomas) they know how dangerous she can be with a good horse.. problem is we don't have a lot of good stock this year, they will look a lot better this summer at an easier track though.
Have a great day!!!
Leslie

Just so you know, We don't come to OP every year just to get our butts kicked, this is our home, we live here year around, use to have a big farm, breed a lot of mares, but sold everything last year, Broodmares will kill you if their not multiple graded stakes mare going to best studs money can buy, and ours weren't we kept our best mare, a Torsion mare, she's had 8 foals, all broke their maidens first asking. We've had her all her life, she knocked out over 100k, and is stakes placed, she's 19 years old, but looks about ten, very pampered life, she's got a Marked Tree yearling, and is in foal to Canaveral, a son of Relaunch, the baby that would be 3 right now got killed in a freaky accident, caused by a dumb man (that's all i will say), it was Prospector's Gamble filly, though lose.. the one she's in foal to now will be born early may, i can't wait.. anyway just wanted to let ya know why we come here every year. also have 2, 2yr. olds, just broke and will probably start this summer, real nice babies, a Hickmen Creek colt named Creek, and an Air Forbes Won colt named Shaggin, both look real good so far, I'll let ya know when they run this summer.
Have a good one,
Leslie

Racehoss,

Thanks for the heads up. Hush $$ made a good move against a tough bunch. S/b pretty good down the road. I'll be watching for hUSH $$ and 'Glitz at LS... or will he go to PRM?

On the way to LS now. I like Hawley's runner in the 8th but want to get a good look before betting. The distance may be a bit more than that runner wants. We'll see.

Enjoy the big stakes weekend up there. Outta be good.

Thanks, little filly tries and so does Glitz, their just in so though today, they will both be at PrM., this summer, may take our grass horse to LS or CD, and then to Canterbury this summer for grass races, Glitz whacked his hock in the race pretty good, bleed pretty good. He'll be ok, but needs some time to freshen up. Should all run good at easier meet.
Your right about the races this weekend, gonna be a lot of fun. Good Luck tonight at LS.
talk to ya later,
Leslie
