Is this true?

Recently came across my Facebook page in a post from Jude Feld.

Here is the simple content I posted. Please join/like my page on Facebook.

And here you have a perfect understanding of the core issue in CA racing: The tail wags the dog.

(I think this is going to be deserving of a blog post by me in the near future.)

CA horsemen believe that the racing world centers around them. The industry is in peril, especially in CA and they're demanding extra money for showing up.

If you are a CA racing fan you might not like hearing this but yours is the model for how not to do it. The product is low quality (i.e. short fields), the takeout has been raised and now this.

Last one out, please turn out the lights.

I know they have a labor problem with the grooms having to work 17 or 18 hour days on Fridays. I could be wrong but maybe that's the purpose of the $150.

Dave,

Please understand that the following comment is not directed at you, but at the fools running Cal racing:

"Since I have boycotted Cal racing for the last year,

I DON'T CARE"

Not only CA horsemen, but NJ horsemen also believe that world revolves around them too. It may be true of horsemen everywhere.

We're glad to have you protesting both NJ and CA from Nebraska; great work on the trolling front.

Beyond the " is it right " discussion, there's another. If it's true, where is the money coming from ? Even if there are only 60 entered on the card, at $150 a pop that's 9 grand.

I am under the impression that it is $150 per trainer, not per entry.
